Hippolyta is a major character of the DC Extended Universe. serving as a supporting character of Wonder Woman, Justice League and its director's cut Zack Snyder's Justice League, and a flashback character of Wonder Woman 1984.
She is the Queen of the Amazons, a former lover of Zeus and mother to Diana.
The Queen of the Amazons, and the mother of Diana, Hippolyta has been at the forefront of many ordeals involving the Amazons, such as Darkseid's invasion, humanity's betrayal and two invasions on Themysciran soil.
Personality[]
Hippolyta doesn't want young Diana to learn to fight, until she realizes she has no choice but to accept the inevitable. Then she orders Antiope to train her harder than any Amazon before her, to ensure Diana will develop the strength and skills she needs to defend herself perfectly. Although she loves her daughter dearly, but even when she finally relented she still kept her daughter from the moral grayness of the world.

Trivia[]
Nicole Kidman was offered the role of Hippolyta but she passed on the role because of scheduling conflicts. She did, however, take the role of Atlanna in Aquaman, another film in the DC Extended Universe.
Christiaan Schodel was a stunt double for Connie Nielsen in the role of Hippolyta.
