Hiromi Higuruma is a supporting character from anime/manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. He previously worked as a lawyer who did his best to defend those who were mistreated and falsely accused. This was exemplified when a young man called Keita Oe was accused of guilty after he was found with a knife that had blood that belonged to a mother that he was the one speculated to be responsible for.
In present day, he became a jujutsu sorcerer in a matter of time before participating in the Culling Game that takes place in Shibuya where he fought against another participant, Yuji Itadori, serving as an antagonist. He however changed his mind by joining and fighting alongside Yuji to oppose Sukuna.
Appearance[]
Hiromi is a slim middle-aged man with short black messy hair. He is depicted with a big nose and brown-colored pupils. Fitting his personality, Hiromi often maintains a stern and weary facial expression. During his past as well as in the present as a culling game player, Hiromi is always seen in his black attire as a lawyer comprising of a black suit, black necktie, black pants, and pair of shoes. He wields his lawyer hammer which can be greatly increased in size with his cursed technique.
Personality[]
Hiromi is characterized as a remarkably composed, highly intelligent, and unassuming individual who consistently appears detached and aloof from his surroundings.
Hiromi bears a sense of remorse following his actions towards the prosecutor and judge during Keita’s trial. Despite being a brilliant and collected man, it proved to be a challenging task to reverse the course of events, and he has openly expressed the distress he felt about willingly taking someone’s life. Despite his often weary countenance, which may give the impression of indifference, Hiromi harbors a deep-seated passion for upholding justice. In a legal system where the total of criminal trials in Japan culminate in a guilty verdict is nearly a hundred percent, Hiromi consistently endeavors to safeguard the falsely accused by demonstrating their innocence in the best way possible. His motivation does not stem from a desire to champion the weaklings, but rather, he simply cannot take the decision to let go of the situations that he perceives as unjust.
Primarily now as a culling game participant, he is keen on the rules of the game and was heavily bothered by how the purpose of law was written and not allowed to be involved within the event. If done so, some could end up breaking the rules and be punished as a result without the regard of the law. As a result, he decided to take a different path further away in his job as a lawyer and to instead witness the outcomes of the Culling Game without regard of other's sake.
Powers and Abilities[]
Abilities[]
- Genius-Level Intellect: Hiromi is known by others to have an intelligence high enough to only spend two weeks to reach a mastery level of jujutsu, including deciphering the intricacies of barrier techniques.
To achieve this remarkable accomplishment, Hiromi likely employed a combination of his innate magical abilities, his knowledge of jujutsu, and his ability to analyze and deconstruct complex techniques. He may have also used various reference materials and resources to supplement his learning, such as authoritative texts on jujutsu and his barrier techniques.
- Expert-Armed Combat:
Powers[]
- Domain Expansion - Deadly Sentencing: Moreover, as a born prodigy, Hiromi was also capable to developing his own domain, Deadly Sentencing, an environment surrounded by gates and guillotines in a circular shape. The floor is surrounded by cash all over the place except where they each stand on a lawyer stage facing each other at a certain distance away. As the owner of the domain, Judgeman, a shikigami harboring the appearance of a large shadowy figure with a white mask along with two scales hanging on both of his arms is floating behind him and serves as the prosecution.
Being a lawyer, the effect that the domain manifests is forcing anyone inside to obey the guidelines, unlike other curse user's domains which are guaranteed to hit their targets. Judgeman is nearly omniscient in terms of the memories of anyone present inside the domain. For fair purposes, not even Hiromi is capable of receiving information from his shinigami. This ability is used as part of how a real trial would be happening; Individuals must be on their own to prove their innocence to Judgeman by arguing actions earlier in their life
