Hitori Gotoh, or better known as Bocchi, is the titular main protagonist of the manga and anime series Bocchi the Rock!. She is a first year student in Shuka High School and is in charge of the lyrics and guitars of the band, Kessoku Band.
She is voiced by Yoshino Aoyama in Japanese.
Appearance[]
Bocchi teenage girl of average height with long pink hair and blue aqua eyes. She usually has a yellow and blue cube-shaped hair tie on the top left of her hair. Majority of the time, she wears a pink tracksuit, a long black skirt, long black socks and maroon shoes. She is being described as a beautiful girl by Nijika and Kita. And when she wore a maid outfit at school, she the attentions of peoples around her.
Personality[]
Bocchi is a very introverted teenager who is largely affected by social anxiety and has been seen to not even able to make eye contacts when talking to strangers, however this began to change later on. Initially, Bocchi was entirely unable to perform in front of people and would instead spread her music through her online channel, Guitarhero. When she was initially requited as a member of Kessoku band towards the beginning of the show, Bocchi would always hide herself in a box that she can hide, like she did this in her first performance with Kessoku Band. Despite her cowardless she still has a strong passion for guitar that she developped since first year in middle high school when she was watching an interview of Bandman that inspired her on taking the path of learning guitar.
As she came back from school carrying her guitar, she meets Nijika Ijichi. Nijika tells her that she was looking for new guitarist for their band as their previous guitarist ran away after a concert and convince her to join their band which Bocchi agrees. However she still struggled to play in front of a few people despite her amazing guitar talent that she possesses. Whenever she gets nervous and ankward, she openly expresses her emotions on her face. She was later on assigned on writting the lyrics for the band. However she tends to avoid using any "forbidden" that has anything to do with youth.

- Kessoku bands member's surnames comes from the surnames of the real life Japanese rock members, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, where Gotoh's name come from Masafumi Gotoh.
