Hoeru Tono is one of the main protagonists in No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. He is an outcast part-timer.
Using TegaSword and GozyuWolf Ring, Hoeru can transform into GozyuWolf.
He is portrayed by Mio Fuyuno.
History[]
Background[]
Due to a terrible incident that occurred during his early years, Hoeru Tono was born into a family that was later split apart. She was abducted together with her brother, Hisamitsu, and sent to an extraterrestrial planet known as "No One World." Hoeru returns to the real world as the only survivor after successfully escaping, only to discover that her family has moved on with new kids, leaving her alone.
Adult Life and Work[]
As an adult, Hoeru was a part-time employee and "freeter" who frequently lost his job due to his aggressive and impetuous actions. He was a solitary person without any definite life objectives because he had no relatives or close friends. Because of his turbulent existence, he has been dubbed the "Lone Drifter Part-Timer." As a dewasa, Hoeru leads a life as a "freeter"—time-consuming work—which is frequently criticized due to its impulsive and kasar nature. I don't have any friends or a clear topic, which makes me a terasing sosok without clear life goals. One of the most challenging lifestyles is "Lone Drifter Part-Timer."
Transforming into GozyuWolf[]
Hoeru was once taken to another dimension and confronted by TegaSword, a mystery being who gave him a Sentai Rings, when he was defending himself against an onslaught by Bridan's troops under Fire Candle. He was able to change into GozyuWolf, the Gozyugers' Red Ranger, thanks to this ring. Hoeru accepts this offer in the hopes of winning every conflict he is presented with, even if he has no personal ambitions.
Reunion with his brother[]
Hoeru, who had been feeling hopelessly empty as a GozyuWolf and struggling, was unaware that his lost older brother, Hisamitsu Tono, was actually "Kuon," the solemn young president of Kuon AI Konzern. Taking advantage of Hoeru's emotional detachment, Kuon invited him to a cafe named TegaSword Village and convinced him to accompany him. During the Gozyugers' fight against Fire Candle and Aryee, Kuon, posing as Garyudo, the Ring Hunter, shows up and tries to turn Hoeru against his team by saying that he has no reason to fight with them while he is dreamless. The encounter turns into a pivotal moment when Kuon confesses that he is actually her brother and draws Hoeru into her struggle between loyalty, ambition, and family.
Post-World Reset[]
After a forced marriage between TegaJune and TegaSword, the world was reset. Hoeru, who lost his memory of Ring Contract, returns to work at a convenience store. Then, there was a robbery, but when Hoeru was about to act, someone appeared and saved everyone in the store and treated them. As a result, Hoeru receives a bill for the rescue, but Hoeru refuses and the man touches his forehead, which restores Hoeru's entire memory.
Reunion with the one who took care of him in No One[]
Following their early romance in the World of No One, they reconnected on a beach. Mine asked Hoeru out on a casual date at that point, where they played badminton, drank matcha, and ate meals on the beach while Gozyuger's buddies were "hiding" to offer support. Mine is about to reveal her feelings when she is shot by an enigmatic gunman, who turns out to be Kuon/Garyudo, sending her falling. However, it was later discovered that Mine had been slain earlier when Monster No. 1, possessed her body. Kuon brought her back to life so she could speak with Hoeru again. Mine expressed regret for telling Hoeru that he should never have any wishes. Now that she was secure, Mine urged Hoeru to find a true desire before Mine vanished forever. Hoeru forgave her, and they made a pinky promise.
Power-up[]
Wild GozyuWolf[]
Without hesitation, Hoeru immediately took the OrcaBooster5050 that had escaped from Jadou Shinken Red. Furthermore, instead of being controlled by the OrcaBooster5050, Hoeru managed to control it and acquired a new power, the Wild GozyuWolf.
