Hollis Forsythe

Hollis Forsythe is a supporting character in Psychonauts 2. She is the Second Head of the Psychonauts who takes up the role as the leader of the group whenever Truman Zanotto is unable to do so who's duty is managing the organization's budget and leading the the organization's intern program. She teaches the interns how to use mental connection, which is her own psychic specialty.

Personality

A very tightly wound and serious woman, Hollis is often the first to take responsibility in any kind of situation, as shown when she saved a mission that had gone haywire after a brief analysis of the assets she had at hand. Likely due to her past in the field of healthcare, she is also very mindful of safety, as she's highly protective of the intern program's students to the point of underestimating their abilities on certain occasions. While responsible and level-headed, Hollis's role as the temporary Head of the Psychonauts leads to her often suffering from extreme amounts of stress, often brought upon thanks to the organization's looming financial problems.

Hollis has a great deal of respect for her superior Truman and for the regulations of the Psychonauts, as well as towards leadership in general. In spite of this, she still recognizes whenever unfair behavior is being exhibited by someone in power. For example, when her mentor while she was in medical school, Dr. Potts, stole and plagiarized her research, Hollis took matters in her own hands to expose his actions. The fact that she has made her fair share of mistakes herself keeps Hollis from being completely attached to rules as well, complete with the knowledge of how people need to learn from their mistakes. She showcases this after she forgives Raz for messing with her mind after he profusely apologizes.

As outwardly forthright, honest, and respectful with others as she is, Hollis is much more aggressive and rude within her own mind. Where she is shown outright insulting others, referring to Dr. Potts as "Dr. Putz".

After Raz tampering with Hollis' Mind, she temporarily becomes dangerously impulsive and selfish, abandoning her colleagues halfway through a mission in an attempt to finally solve the company's financial issues through gambling. This version of herself is one that thoroughly believes that change is impossible, feelings are not to be expressed but rather hidden, and that asking others for help would make her weak.
