Holly Goodhead is a fictional CIA agent and the deuteragonist in the 007 movie Moonraker.

She was played by Lois Chiles.

History[]

Since the CIA now suspects Hugo Drax, due to the fact that many agents on the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft are killed by an explosion in RAF space and there is no trace of the Moonraker, they send Goodhead on a mission, and at the same time, the MI6 send Bond for the same case.

Goodhead first meets Bond at Drax Industries' shuttle manufacturing complex, where he survives an assassination made by Drax's henchman Chang in a centrifugal chamber after Drax lure Holly away by speaking to her over the phone, after which she comes to his aid and checks on him in a worried state, stating that the controls must have malfunctioned.

Goodhead meets Bond again in Venice, when he is chased by Drax's henchmen in the canals. Bond later finds Drax's secret biological laboratory and accidentally kills the scientists and finds filters containing nerve gas deadly to humans, but harmless to animals, and which are moving these things to Rio de Janero.

Reunited with Goodhead, having realized that she is a CIA agent, they are willing to work together on the mission, but only temporarily. Bond delivers the filter taken from the laboratory to M, who analyzes it and allows Bond and Goodhead to go to Rio de Janero.

Bond and Goodhead meet again on Sugarloaf Mountain, where they are again attacked by Jaws on a cable car. But then they are captured, but Bond manages to escape and reports to an MI6 base in Brazil. Bond traveling along the Amazon River, is again captured by Drax who reveals his plan of him with four Moonrakers, Drax explains that he stole them because another of the fleet had developed a fault during the assembly.

After Drax has Bond locked up with Goodhead under an active Moonraker to kill them both instantly and he subsequently leaves since he needs to depart, Bond manages to free both himself and Goodhead.

They head to the service tunnel where they ambush two henchmen, knock them out and take their places in Moonraker 6, to reach Drax, with Goodhead, who knows how to drive a spaceship, releasing the thrusters from the rocket and the external tank. When they take off, they discover that Drax was not carrying cargo, but passengers.

Their destination is a station the size of a city that Goodhead couldn't record on radar, but see yeah, this could be because the station had a radar jammer on board and made everything invisible.

Then they attack Drax at his station and he reveals his plan: to annihilate and replace the human race with a new ruling race spawned from his carefully selected ubermenschen.

Bond and Goodhead, however, break free and manage to cause enough damage to his base and equipment, which causes his space station to be made visible in Washington so that they can depoly a troop of marines to aid the duo in their fight against Drax's forces. After taking many of them out and Bond defeats Drax by ejecting him into space, he and Holly then use his Moonraker 5 shuttle to take out the globes that were already launched from his station and could kill huge amounts of people by shooting them before they can breach Earth's atmosphere.

With the mission complete, Bond on a jet decides it's time to return and says he could land either in Vandenberg, or White Sands or Edwards AFB, but Holly begs him to "take me around the world one more time" and they do an ' 90-minute orbit and celebrate their victory in the most intimate way.
