After the kids break the ship, Hop Pop stays calm and proposes he can still fix it.
Arriving at Loggle's, Hop Pop gives Anne a bag of mushroom treats and tells her to give them to Bessie if she acts up.

Hop Pop being told by Loggle to wait while he gets the supplies to fix the ship.
Hop Pop being greeted by a mysterious cloaked frog who points to him that the kids are speed driving Bessie.
"Those kids are driving me wild!"
After the frog introduces himself as Apothecary Gary, Hop Pop is handed a vial of purple substance.
Hop Pop looking at the substance as Apothecary Gary explains how it will make Anne, Sprig, and Polly more obedient.
"Ol' Hopediah's not fallin' for no scam."
Hop Pop being told by Apothecary Gary that the substance does work and he won't be able to live with it.
Hop Pop stops talking when he sees Apothecary Gary is gone.
Hop Pop startled when Loggle brings in the supplies to fix his model ship.
"Now all I need is a quiet afternoon to fix this old gal."
"Guess I won't be needin' this stuff after all."
"I'll be in my study if anyone needs me."
Hop Pop being bumped into by the kids who excitedly race to the kitchen to get a snack, causing him to drop his model ship.
Hop Pop on the verge of tears upon seeing his model ship on the ground.
Later that night, Hop Pop enters Sprig's bedroom, deciding to use Apothecary Gary's elixir to get the kids to behave.
"Eh. Probably won't do nothin' anyway."-Hop Po after putting the elixir on the kids' foreheads.
The next morning, Hop Pop calls the kids down for breakfast.
Hop Pop surprised when a brainwashed Anne, Sprig, and Polly arrive at the breakfast table.
Hop Pop a little nervous out by the kids' mindless behavior.

Hop Pop creeped out when he notices the kids are watching him blankly.

When the mind controlling effects wear off, Hop Pop sees the kids misbehaving again.
"Go to bed now, and I'll give you ten coppers each!"

Hop Pop reluctantly deciding to use the enzymes on the kids again.
"Well, that's that."-Hop Pop after applying the enzymes on the kids again.
Not long after, Hop Pop hears a commission.
Hop Pop horrified to see the kids have turned into zombies.

"I know. No matter how important my ship was, it didn't give me the right to use mind control on you."
When the kids apologize to Hop Pop and promise him to listen to him more, Hop Pop guesses they're now even.

After the fire goes out, Hop Pop looks bad for Anne when she sadly asks why he and everyone else nominated her Frog of the Year.
"Anne, we didn't vote for you because you're flawless. [chuckles] Far from it. We voted for you because of how far you've come. You've grown so much in your time here, and this town just wouldn't be the same without you."
After consoling Anne, Hop Pop and everyone else cheers as they decide to continue having the Frog of the Year Party.
When the toads suddenly arrive in Wartwood, Hop Pop and his family are surprised to see another human with Anne.

Hop Pop confused when Sasha takes an interest in him.
Hop Pop and his grandchildren scared when Sasha tells them that
Captain Grime wants to meet with them.
The Plantars uneasy before they follow Anne and Sasha into Wartwood's town square.
Hop Pop suspicious of Grime when he invites the citizens of Wartwood to a banquet at Toad Tower to celebrate Anne and Sasha's reunion.
