Hoppy Hopscotch is a minor character of Chapter 4: Safe Haven of the 2021 indie horror game Poppy Playtime.

She was one of the Smiling Critters experimented by Playtime Co., and following The Hour of Joy, Hoppy and the rest of the Smiling Critters were killed, leaving DogDay the sole survivor in CatNap's clutches.

She was voiced by Avalon Delaney.

Appearance[]

Hoppy Hopscotch is an anthropomorphic lime green rabbit with black eyes, a black nose, and long ears. Her paws are green, similar to the rounded T-shape design in the inside of her ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, she is depicted with a wide toothless grin with a small gray air tube stuck inside her, and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a gold lightning pendant and a cotton tail.

Hoppy's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with her zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils and four-digit hands, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.

Hoppy Hopscotch was created as a member of the Smiling Critters in 1989. Soon after, miniature versions of her were created, along with a Bigger Bodies version to work in Playcare.

In Safe Haven, a Bigger Bodies Hoppy Hopscotch, the Medic, and Doey the Doughman were tending to a unknown broken toy. When Doey asked what happened, Hoppy claims that when trying to bring supplies back from the elevator, the Mini Critters ambushed and stole everything back. they had to turn around and head back to the Safe Haven. Doey insists that the Medic and Hoppy stay behind to tend to the broken toy, while he goes up to Playcare to replenish their food supplies.

Sometime later, Hoppy had Disappeared and most likely Died, as DogDay refers to himself as the last of the Smiling Critters.

She and DogDay are the only Smiling Critters to be Bigger Bodies versions onscreen.
- Bobby BearHug also became a Bigger Bodies experiment and experienced a failed procedure that initially rendered her with sensory and mobility issues.
