Hot Pants is a supporting character in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run.
Appearance[]
Hot Pants is a young woman of average height, medium build, and short hair. Primarily during the Steel Ball Run race, she wears a baggy striped suit covered with a long blouse decorated with metallic flowers and leaves decorations, lined with fur and having a second layer of cloth covering her chest. She wears a fur deerstalker hat with a single tassel at its top, furred elbow pads, and leg warmers along with a belt bearing her initials ("HP").
Personality[]
Hot Pants major trait is of long spanning feeling of guilt she developed in her childhood where, in an attempt to avoid being eaten by a grizzly bear pushed her brother toward the animal and escaped with her life. Ever since Hot Pants attempted to seek forgiveness by becoming a nun wishing that one day she would be forgiven by her brother and God.
Despite being a Nun, Hot pants is of skewed morality, as during the Steel Ball Run race she would often tackle situations through violence, attempting to kill Johnny and Gyro over the two seemingly eating her cow meat and not apologizing afterwards. With the goal of searching for the Holy Corpse on behalf of the Naples Kingdom Hot Pants will fight against President Valentine's forces to achieve this goal. She will often enter into temporary partnership's with mutual gain to fight off opposition towards this goal, as she landed her aid to Gyro and Johnny when fighting Ringo Roadagain, then aiding Lucy Steel to retrieve some of the corpse parts and disguising her as the president's wife, and later partnering with Diego Brando promising him that she would track down his father for him and ensure he gained political power. While outwardly rough and standoffish, Hot Pants still has a large degree of allyship and mercy, as she later healed Gyro's fatal injuries and allowed Johnny to keep a piece of the holy corpse to retain his Stand and later fought to protect Lucy from Mike O.
History[]
Hot Pants was born around 1867. She spent her childhood in a small town, at one point going outdoors with her younger brother to collect nuts until the pair were attacked by a grizzly bear. While both being on the verge of death Hot Pants impulsively pushed her brother closer to the bear changing its target, while she alone escaped alive. Following this incident Hot Pants was struck with immense guilt deciding she couldn't live with her parents anymore and moved to Italy to find forgiveness from God as a Nun. Eventually Hot Pants was sent on a mission to recover all nine pieces of the Holy Saint in America, subsequently joining the Steel Ball Run Race in 1890.
During the race Hot Pants wins 1st in the third stage, and later gets into a brief dispute with Gyro Zeppeli and Johnny Joestar thinking the the two had killed her marked cow and ate its meat. Eventually she relents against the two and goes on to help the two against Ringo Roadagain after the three are caught in his stand attack. Later, after Johnny and Gyro suffer grave injuries after barely defeating Sandman, Hot Pants steals most of Johnny's saint corpse parts but leaves part of the spine so he can keep his stand ability. Along with healing Gyro, she then assists Lucy in fighting off Mike O. Later in the race Hot Pants Johnny and Gyro are caught in a stand attack by Axl RO where she relives her guilt over her younger brothers death. After Axl's defeat she teams up with Diego Brando to kill President Valentine and recover the entire corpse, though the pair are defeated and killed themselves.
