Hyoma Aoi

Hyoma Aoi is the main protagonist of the anime series Chōdenji Robo Combattler V.

He is an avid motorcyclist and speed freak. He would later become the leader of the Battle Team to save the world from the invading Campbellians. He pilots the Battle Jet, which forms the head of the Combattler V.

He was voiced by Yūji Mitsuya.

Personality[]

Hyouma is an passionate and hot-blooded young man. Despite being extremely impulsive and impatient at times, he is willing to understand the feelings and concern of other people. He also cares about the well-being of those around him and his loved ones, especially Chizuru Nanbara, whom he loves deeply. Hyouma is very dedicated when it comes to spreading justice, when he berates Sandrat for his laziness.

An avid motorcyclist and speed freak, Hyoma likes anything that relates to piloting and racing, which is the main reason for him to be a suitable leader for the Battle team. He and Chizuru also eventually develop feelings for each other and become a couple at the end of the series.

History[]

In the 21st century, Oreana's group of Campbellians reawaken and begin their invasion on Earth. The invasion, led by her son Great General Garuda, attack Earthlings' cities. Because of this, Doctor Nanbara creates the super-electromagnetic robot Combattler V in order to combat them. He summons Hyoma, Juza Naniwa, Daisaku Nishikawa, Chizuru Nanbara (Nanbara's granddaughter) and Kosuke Kita to pilot it. From then on, Hyoma leads the team to fight the Campbellians' forces to protect Earth from them.

After defeating Oreana, the Battle team face the Campbellians' ruler, Empress Janera, who was behind Oreana's endeavors. Eventually, Janera decides to deploy an "Earth Bomb" to destroy the Earth before trying to escape, only to be confronted by Warchimedes, who destroys himself to kill her. Just before the "Earth Bomb" explodes, the true ruler of the Campbellians, Deus, arrives, informs the team of the coup d'état on Campbell and stops the bomb, saving the Earth.

After the war, the Battle team's members return to their ordinary lives but promise to meet again should any new threat to Earth's peace emerged. Hyoma and Chizuru have also become a couple.
