Iharu Furuhashi is a major supporting character in the science-fiction action manga and anime series Kaiju No. 8.
He is voiced by Yuuki Shin in Japanese and by Ben Stegmair in English.
Appearance[]
Iharu is a young adult man of regular height with pink hair in a punk style and a sidecut. He has distinctive sharp teeths and orange eyes. As a member of the Defence Force, he wears the standard soldier dark uniform with dark green pads and silver pads on his shoulders, wrists, back waist, and legs.
Personality[]
Iharu is a passionate and prideful individual who takes great pride in his abilities and accomplishments. He has a strong competitive streak, always striving to be the best and not wanting to be seen as inferior to others. Often boasting about his own abilities in comparison to Leno's, This drive to improve led him to set his sights on Leno Ichikawa. Despite his confident exterior, Iharu struggles with feelings of inadequacy and insecurity, particularly when comparing his past successes to his current situation in the Defense Force. He can be hot-headed and stubborn, refusing to back down from a challenge even when faced with overwhelming odds. However, beneath his tough exterior, Iharu cares deeply about his team and teammates, and is willing to put himself in harm's way to protect them.

- Iharu's hairstyle is reused from another character of Naoya Matsumoto, the author's earlier works.
- Naturally, considering his brash nature and his hairstyle, Iharu has a love for rock music and motorbikes, soda-flavored Gori Gori Kun popsicles (based on the popular popsicle brand in real life, Gari Gari Kun)
