“ | I am Imani, last of the Warders and guardian of the realm! I swear, those who would seek to harm you shall suffer a dragon's judgement. | „ |
~ One of Imani's lines upon starting a match. |
Imani, also known by her title of The Last Warder, is one of the playable characters in the video game Paladins. She's the last known member of the old group known as the Warders, magical warriors with the power to command dragons who once helped pave the way for the original golden age of peace.
She's a Damage champion that was introduced on January 16th, 2019.
She is voiced by Christine Sanders.
Official Bio[]
"Long ago, there was chaos and war. The dragons ruled the Realm, and everyone else was left to fight over the scraps. But one wise mage learned the dragons' secrets. She became the first Warder, the first to command a dragon. It was that Warder's actions that paved the way for the Paladins' Golden Age of peace. The Warders were thought to be dead and gone, a relic of a bygone age.
Yet, when a beacon was lit in their ancient homeland — an alarm signal that the Warders, or what remained of them, were needed once again — Imani answered that call. Little is known about the Last Warder's past before she appeared in Dredge's treasure trove to recover her stolen relics, but one thing is sure: she will uphold the legacy of her lineage, and stand against the darkness of the future looming over the Realm."
Biography[]
Little is known of Imani's past, but when the Warder's Beacon was relit after many years of inactivity, Imani was the only Warder that answered the call. Though she arrived at the beacon following the battle that had occurred between the Magistrate and Resistance and found her gauntlets missing, Imani somehow figured out Dredge was in possession of her gauntlets.
After easily reclaiming her gauntlets, Imani journeyed to those she believed responsible for having lit the beacon, that being the Resistance. Though Imani was mistaken, Jenos, the one who had actually lit the beacon, revealed himself and warned the group, as well as Imani, of the danger that threatened them all, though everyone, including Jenos himself, believed this threat to be Abyssal.
The Resistance decided to head deep into the Shattered Desert in search of shards of the moon, with Imani accompanying the group, assisting them in several of their battles against the Magistrate.
Following Yagorath's release, the true danger was made clear, and naturally, Imani continued to battle this threat to keep the Realm safe.
Personality[]
Being part of the old group of Warders that had helped bring peace to the Realm, Imani is a natural guardian; as she says herself, she fights to protect those who can't protect themselves. Even after many years of inactivity, with the Warders thought entirely gone, Imani still returned to fight for the Realm when the Warder's Beacon was relit, even though she believed she was the only Warder left.
Powers and Abilities[]
Wielding powerful elemental magic, coupled with her ability to control powerful dragons, Imani is one of the most powerful mortals in Paladins, with Yagorath believing if Imani wanted, she could rule the Realm with none capable of stopping her.
Gameplay[]
Passive Abilities[]
Imani has two gameplay forms that grant her different abilities, with these forms being her Fire Stance and Ice Stance.
Imani also possesses a Mana ability, where dealing damage generates mana, which causes Imani's next attack to be instantaneous at full mana charge.
Frost Bolt (Ice Stance)[]
- Throw Frost Bolts every 0.5 second that deal 410 damage and slows enemies by 15% for 1 second.
- Generates a base ~30% of Mana bar.
Pyre Ball (Fire Stance)[]

- Can be reactivated to detonate it.
- Locks you out of all other abilities until it detonates.
- Generates a base ~4% of Mana bar per 100 damage dealt.
- 15 second base cooldown.
Inferno Cannon (Fire Stance)[]
- Channel an Inferno Cannon that deals 100 damage every 0.09 seconds over 3 seconds in a 120-unit piercing column of fire.

- Killing Imani ends the ability early.
- Ability can be cancelled early by reactivating.
Talents[]
As with every other champion in Paladins, Imani has a number of different talents and cards which can significantly alter her playstyle. Cards can be upgraded with a limited pool of fifteen points per load-out in order to increase their effectiveness. Numbers in curly brackets are the default values and can be upgraded a total of five times, each upgrade adding another instance of the base value to overall effectiveness.
Splitting Ice[]
