Inferno is a male Autobot and one of Optimus Prime's soldiers in Transformers: Energon. He is a calm, collected and loyal sniper. Later, when his body was destroyed, he was rebuilt and named Roadblock.
Inferno is voiced by Michael Daingerfield, in the English dub of Energon. In the Japanese version he is voiced by Nobutoshi Canna in Energon/Super Link.
History[]
As Inferno served Optimus Prime, he and Optimus' other Autobot soldiers fought to protect the Energon they mined to rebuild what was lost on Cybertron and Earth. And when Megatron came back, he and the other Autobots started fighting the Decepticons again to protect Energon, while trying to build Energon Towers to protect Earth and Energon. Later, when he was guarding a Decepticon named Shockblast on the Iron Planet after Shockblast had lost a battle against Wing Saber, Megatron and his men came to free Shockblast, and during the attack he hid from the Decepticons, trying to defend himself. While in hiding, Shockblast was with Starscream chasing him, and when he was captured Megatron began to label him a Decepticon, and at first he fought against being labeled a Decepticon, and he was somewhat successful in resisting being labeled a Decepticon. But later his marking as a Decepticon began to become complete, with him now bearing the Decepticon mark, but when Signal Flare shot an Energon star at him to turn him back into an Autobot, he drifted towards the Energon sun, with which he fended off the Decepticon evil and returned becoming an Autobot while being destroyed by an Energon sun. Fortunately, Jetfire managed to save his spark, after which he was rebuilt, and after being rebuilt, he was named "Roadblock". After rebirth, he performed duties in Ocean City until he came to the Jungle Planet with the other Autobots to help Optimus, who had absorbed Unicron's power, and he and the other Autobots gave Optimus a reunification spark, after which Optimus went to confront Galvatron, who was possessed by Unicron. And when Unicron and Galvatron were destroyed by the Super-Energon sun, he and the rest of the Autobots returned from Optimus Supreme after the battle ended, ushering in a new beginning for the universe.
