Inkay is a Dark/Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI of the Pokémon franchise. It is the pre-evolution of its evolved form, Malamar.
In the anime, James from Team Rocket owns an Inkay. But despite being a Pokémon owned by Team Rocket, Inkay possesses the ability to pacify anybody who is extremely evil and would teach them what is right and what is wrong. For example, in the 54th episode of Pokémon the Series: XY, Inkay stands up to the evil Malamar that has a desire to take over the world and teaches it a lesson it will never forget.
