And now time resumes!
Inklings are a race of humanoid squids and are the main protagonists of the Splatoon video game series. They ink their turf and try to save Inkopolis from the Octarians. Their rivals are none other than the Octolings. The Inkling girl has long tentacle-like hair that goes down to their waist while the Inkling boy's variant is rather shorter. In Splatoon 2, they have more hairstyles.
In Splatoon's single player mode, the player's Inkling (called Agent 3 by Cap'n Cuttlefish) is tasked to bring back the Zapfish and the Great Zapfish, which were all stolen by the Octarians.
