Ishii is a character in the Girls' Last Tour series. With Chito and Yuuri firstly encountering her in Episode 6, Ishii is an aspiring pilot who has been living at an abandoned airfield by herself underneath the adjacent stratum for years, in her pursuit of leaving the megacity ruins via the plane she has been constructing.
Ishii is voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi, who has voiced other characters including Misato Katsuragi in Evangelion, Peko Pekoyama in Danganronpa, Boa Hancock in One Piece, and Sailor Moon in Sailor Moon. She is voiced by Stephanie Wittels in English, who voices Erina Nakiri from Food Wars! and Naomi in Girls und Panzer.
Appearance[]
Ishii is a middle-aged woman who has black armpit-length hair that is tied with a red hair tie, as well as her having green eyes with square-rimmed glasses. She also has a beige backpack. Her clothing consists of an off-white longcoat on the outside, gray long-sleeved shirt, gray pants, black shoes, and black gloves.

Ishii is known to be stoic, but deep beneath her however is a main goal she was destined for: viewing the distant city and reaching it through her plane that she created.
At some point in time it is revealed that Ishii's deep curiosity and fascination to planes stems from her spending many years at the abandoned air base through airplane blueprints and flight records. She is shown to have some certain degree of aeronautic knowledge, albeit it remains unknown if aeronautics is her forte, being able to create an airplane that can achieve her purpose: one of which is by salvaging whatever materials she can find in the airbase.

Girls' Last Tour[]
Ishii is first seen by Chito and Yuuri in Episode 6 ("Encounter", "Technology", and "Takeoff" chapter), when she was flying an RC plane before she tripped into the ground. Later on, as means to fix the survivors' Kettenkrad, Ishii then enlists Chito and Yuuri's help into finishing her plane, before she gives them directions to the food processing plant.
After Ishii finished the construction of her plane, with Chito and Yuuri's help, Ishii later plans to reach her goal through it, only for her plane's wings and the plane itself to break apart in just 40 seconds, but she parachutes herself out of safety. Ishii then comments that once someone fails at something they worked hard for, including her failed project, someone who fails it will feel carefree in the meantime.
