Fourth Age[]
After the Third Age, Sauron was finally defeated, and the Istari's work were apparently done. Gandalf returned to Valinor. Saruman attempted to come back, but was blown away by a great wind, never to return. Radagast stayed in Middle-earth to tend to the wilderness, at least until possibly TA 3018. The fate of Morinehtar & Rómestámo remains unknown.
Trivia[]
- In Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, Saruman does not become a Wizard of Many Colors; rather, he remains a White Wizard after Sauron's corruption.
