Ixlan is a supporting character in the 2016 Disney Channel animated series Elena of Avalor.
She is the living Maruvian, also known as The Lightning Warrior, freed by Elena.
She is voiced by Stephanie Beatriz.
Personality[]
Ixlan is a determined and ruthless warrior. She is always serious, but she loves competition and staying in training, sharing an immense loyalty towards her allies.
History[]
Ixlan first appears in "The Lightning Warrior", where it is revealed from the flames that one of Quita Moz's greatest warriors is not dead, but is locked inside a cave on La Isla de Yalcatura and needs his help for Elena's test. They need a Villain though. So they take Victor and Carla with them to do it, under control. Freed, Ixlan begins to struggle, but calms down when she sees Naomi with the Scepter of the Light, grabbed when Elena lost it, and reveals that Moz told her that he would serve the princess who would have it. Elena tries to explain the misunderstanding, but Ixlan is not surprised by her. She asks how they got past the Moyacu, to which Victor notes, but Elena ignores, so she swallows them whole. It is when Victor and Carla save the day that Elena recognizes her mistakes and Ixlan recognizes her. When they all return to Avalor, Quita Moz arrives and gives Ixlan her magic gloves back that allow her to control her powers to help Elena in her battles.
In "Elena's Day Off", Ixlan teams up with Naomi and Isabel to drag Elena on a day off because she is stressed out about preparing for the coronation. Finally when they can't hold her back for a moment, Elena accidentally spins everyone around with her emotional magic and makes a mess. After Dona Paloma tells her that there is nothing to worry about and Elena acknowledges this and apologizes to her sister and friends and reveals that she actually wants someone to help her when she is queen. Elena cleans up the mess and then gives Doña Paloma the day off, to which Ixlan herself drags Doña Paloma off in a carriage, declaring that she has won Girl's Day.
In "Coronation Day" segments, Ixlan is seen in Elena's group battling Ash and his minions. Ixlan manages to overpower Esteban, but Ash still manages to release the Four Shades of Awesome and Esteban manages to escape. Ixlan then fights to protect Avalor from the Shades, until it falls under Vuli's spell, but then returns to normal after the Shades are all defeated. Ixlan is seen in the series finale at Elena's coronation and dances with Antonia Bello.
