Jack Brewer is the main protagonist of Disney XD's martial arts sitcom Kickin' It. He is a very good at martial arts.

He is portrayed by Leo Howard.

Background[]

Jack often has to inspire people to do their best, and often helps the group solve their problems. He is convinced Kim has a crush on him (which she does) and he has a crush on her in return.

He was first seen in the dojo when he jumped through the wall to try to not be caught by the mall cops. He has a fear of clowns ever since his fifth birthday. He's loyal to his friends and will go to extreme lengths to protect them. For example, he saved the dojo from getting destroyed with a wrecking ball in Dojo Day Afternoon by stopping the wrecking ball. In the episode Wax on, Wax off, it is shown he's the best at sparring (A badge on his Gi which says "Best Sparring"). During My Left Foot, it is seen that Jack is not very good at football, and can barely even throw the ball. In Eddie Cries Uncle, it is revealed Jack is part of an intramural basketball team. When he was younger, Jack was taught Karate by his grandfather, who trained Bobby Wasabi for all his movies, with his cousin Kai (Kickin' It in China), until his family were ashamed of Kai.

As of Spyfall, he now works at the Bobby Wasabi Dojo as an instructor. He was promoted to assistant sensei in "New Girl".

After "Kickin’ It In The Office", he is now a Sensei.

Personality[]

Jack is extremely strong, which allows him to do several things the other members of the dojo cannot. Jack is not only gifted at karate, but he is a 2nd degree black belt and is able to instruct students of the dojo just as well as Rudy. He is also a very talented skateboarder, as seen in Badge of Honor and Skate Rat and he likes playing by his own rules. Jack is an extremely nice guy, and goes to great lengths to help out his friends. Jack is cool, yet sensible, and he knows what decisions to make in tough situations. Because of his personality, many girls are attracted to him.

He is not without faults however, as he has been shown to be arrogant and hot-headed at times, which can get the better of him and leads to him acting without thinking.

Appearance[]

Jack is described as a tall, muscular, and very good looking teenage boy. He has a pretty boy face great hair, which is referred to several times on the show. Because of his appearance, many girls are attracted to him.

Abilities[]

Telekinesis: in the episode "gold diggers" he is shown using this ability to bring a shovel to him but he never used it in a fight.
Super strength: Jack has shown this ability in "memory lane" where he broke 9 bricks in a row with one arm like nothing.
Chi Control: Through controlling his energy, Jack is able to perform delayed effects on his attacks. Much like the concept of the "Dim Mak" death hit. Which is said to impact after the technique was already performed. Jack used this to chop a karate board in half, wait 10 seconds, then crumble the cinder blocks holding the board by merely blowing on them. He has never demonstrated this technique in combat though, and it is most likely a mere test of skill rather than a fighting move.
Master Martial Arts: Jack is known to be the best fighter in Kickin It. He is able to take on multiple people at the same time and regularly did flips and defeated many Black Dragons.
Weapon Proficiency: Jack is also skilled in using weapons he never used before. Some of his most notable weapons were he once used a feather to defeat Jerry, use a tray to block attacks and counter it back, his most used one a Bo staff, and his karate belt which he used to swing around (even handle the weight of both him and Milton) and use it to hit someone rapidly with it.
Swordsmanship: Jack also use several swords to battle opponents and can even duel wield them. He can also fight someone using a metal stick, a battle ax, fight with 1-2 nun-chucks, and even use tree axes or a pick ax.

Equipment[]

Spy equipment: After defeating a highly trained agent, Jack was forced to save a nation using the agent's backpack which had a communicator that projects a hologram. The backpack also had magnetic sticky gloves which Jack used them to climb up a tall building. When one of the gloves failed, Jack used a grappling gun to break in. Years later after being recruited by Funderburk, Jack used all types of spy gadgets among them was jetpacks and after leaving he gained a spy watch that has a powerful magnet. Jack later used this watch to get Shane Peters's laser pen to free him and Milton. The watch magnet feature can also attract people with a metal plate in their head.
