Lord Jaghatai Khan, also known as the Great Khan, the Warhawk, and the Khagan, is a major character in the grimdark science fantasy franchise Warhammer 40,000.
He served as the fearless leader of the Vth Legion, the White Scars. One of the greatest warriors in the galaxy, the Khan lead his sons to victory after victory during the Great Crusade, and played an extremely crucial role in the Horus Heresy. Approached by the Heretics to join Chaos, the Khan held off on his final decision until he had solid information, refusing to commit to either side during the horrible civil war as he was flooded with info and advice from both sides. Ultimately knowing that Chaos was an evil in the universe no matter how it tried to disguise itself, Jaghatai reaffirmed his loyalty to his father and the Imperium, and would go on to personally participate in the Siege of Terra, saving countless innocent lives and helping to save the homeworld of humanity from the Chaos Legions.
