Biography[]
Military Service[]
James Ramirez joined the United States Army Rangers at an unknown point in time, and became a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment and 1st Battalion. After Joseph Allen was executed by Vladimir Makarov, Ramirez took his place on Hunter Two-One.
Virginia[]
Ramirez and Hunter Two-One were deployed in Virginia to stop Russian forces in Virginia, who had invaded the state. The squad were in a Humvee when a BTR attacked them, and Foley ordered Ramirez to throw a smoke grenade to distract it. Ramirez and the team ran into an alley, and fought Russian forces at a gas station. The squad are tasked with rescuing "Raptor", a high-valued target, but learn that he was already secured by other Army Rangers. Ramirez provided support to protect the HVI and fight Russians and enemy helicopters during a counterattack. After holding the Russians off, Ramirez and the squad are evacuated by Humvees, and are deployed to Arcadia County.
In Arcadia, Hunter Two-One fight Russian forces while evacuating civilians from the area, and are aided by a Stryker ICV call signed "Honey Badger". After clearing the area of soldiers, Ramirez and the squad are tasked with destroying AA guns since they could destroy evacuating civilian transport. General Shepherd then orders the Rangers to secure a high-valued targets, but they are too late and find him dead.
Washington D.C.[]
Hunter Two-One are deployed to Washington, D.C. to evacuate civilians and fight off the Russians, and clear out the Department of Commerce building. The team later destroy a nest of Russian soldiers who are using Javeline's and M82s, and later use the weapons to destroy Mi-28s and Russian tanks. The squad survive a Russian counterattack, and head to the roof to board a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. Ramirez attacks Russian soldiers with a minigun, but the helicopter is shot down by a SAM missile from the Department of Justice building.
Ramirez awakens from the helicopter crash, and provides support as the Army Rangers are swarmed by Russian forces. The team are saved by Captain John Price, who launches a ICBM over the east coast when during an operation in Russia. The Rangers help Ramirez get out of the helicopter, and the team head to a nearby building to evade falling helicopters. The squad leave the building, and encounter a runner who tells them to meet Colonel Marshall at the Whiskey Hotel. Ramirez and the team battle Russian stragglers along the way, and meet Marshall, ho orders them to retake the White House from the Russians.
The squad then goes to the left flank and enter the building, and Dunn hears over a com that the U.S. Air Force plans on bombing the White House. Ramirez and the team manage to make it to the top of the White House, and wave green signal flares to stop the airstrike. Afterward, Foley, Dunn and other soldiers regroup at the top of the White House, and vow revenge on the Russian Army.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3[]
Ramirez doesn't appear in Modern Warfare 3, but it can be assumed that he continued fighting against the Russian Army until the war ended and afterwad he maybe even got promoted.

Trivia[]
- He has one of the fastest Pit completion times, at 28.7 seconds.
- In the campaign remaster, Ramirez is visible from the Predator in "Wolverines!".
- Due to Ramirez being given orders so frequently (a total of 56 scripted times during the campaign, usually given by Sgt. Foley), this has created a meme among players entitled "RAMIREZ! DO EVERYTHING!" which usually features a poster of Sgt. Foley giving impossible or absurd orders.
