Jason Butterfield is a character in the Five Nights at Freddy's: Tales From the Pizzaplex book series, acting as the anti-heroic deuteragonist of Submechanaphobia. He was a child who drowned in one of the attractions at Freddy’s Fantasy Water Park, and ended up possessing all of the animatronics within Freddy’s Sea Life Mechaquarium.
Biography[]
Nothing was known about Jason’s life except he died as a five year old, 20 years before the events in the story, by drowning in one of the attractions at Freddy’s Fantasy Water Park. Throughout the story the animatronics he is possessing moved on their own, revealing some of Jason’s dead body parts to Caden Wykowski, the mechanic of the animatronics there. This included moving around possessing a sea serpent animatronic revealing his finger bone and getting close to Caden as Zeus the Sea Dragon, as one of His shoes were stuck in the teeth of Zeus and needed to be removed.
When Martin Copper was about to kill Caden, possessing Zeus, Jason wrapped his tail around Martin, freeing Caden from Martin’s grasp as all the other animatronics attacked and killed Martin allowing Jason to get his revenge on him for covering up his death. The authorities then found Jason’s Long dead body in one of the buildings at the attraction. Then Roy took ownership of the Waterpark, claiming to make even more fantastic.
