Jasper Jordan is a major character from season one to four of the CW show, The 100.
He was portrayed by Devon Bostick.
Description[]
He was one of the delinquents sent to Earth to make sure it was habitable again. His best friend is Monty Green and is notable for the military goggles he wears at the start of season one. At first a shy, optimistic and adventurous teenager, he gradually becomes depressed, bitter and suicidal.
History[]
Season 1[]
He lands aboard a spaceship on the Earth along with Monty, Clarke, Bellamy, Wells, Finn, Octavia and Murphy. Later, Jasper goes to Mount Weather with Clarke, Monty, Finn and Octavia to bring food back to camp. He also saves Octavia from a mutated river snake. He then devotes himself to getting to Mount Weather first and is violently pierced by a Grounder spear. He serves as bait, dying to lure the teenagers in, but is rescued and brought back to camp. After being cured, he serves in Bellamy's militia but still suffers from what he experienced on his "first" day on Earth.
Season 2[]
Jasper is taken with Monty, Harper, Miller and other delinquents to the Mount Weather. At first, he loves the place and ignores Clarke's warnings. Jasper also meets his first serious love, Maya Vie. After Clarke's disappearance, Jasper is worried and demands an explanation from President Cage who shows him that they are extracting blood from delinquents in order to survive outside. Jasper then rebels with his friends and Bellamy helps them by infiltrating the premises. To escape, Clarke must irradiate the entire warehouse and kill Maya who dies in front of Jasper's eyes.
Season 3[]
After Maya's death, Jasper becomes an alcoholic and is violent and unpleasant with those around him, including and especially Monty. During an encounter with Azgeda warriors, Jasper retrieves the beacon without pressure but is restrained and is threatened with having his throat cut. As the Warrior begins to do this, Jasper is seen smiling and is saved at the last minute. When A.LI.E., an artificial intelligence manipulates everyone in Arkadia to take a chip, Jasper runs away and saves Raven and Clarke. However, he also succumbs to temptation and is seen eating ice cream in the City of Lights. After A.L.I.E.'s defeat, Jasper bursts into tears and hugs Monty, happy to find him.
Season 4[]
After A.L.I.E.'s defeat, Jasper attempts to suicide but is prevented by Monty who knocks at the door, stopping Jasper. However, we learn that he wrote a letter about his suicide but he keeps it hidden for the moment. As he learns that everyone is going to die because of the Praimfaya, a second nuclear apocalypse, Jasper doesn't care and makes the most of the days before this end of the world. During a walk in the forest with Bellamy, Jasper tells him that there is no point in continuing to fight to survive. He also trains other delinquents to follow him in his madness and tries in vain to bring in Monty. While the deadly wave is present, Jasper stays in Arkadia, observing the red moon through a window. Monty finds him to get him to leave but finds out that Jasper has taken an overdose. He wants to help, but his friend refuses. Jasper tells him that he will see him on the "other side" and dies in front of Monty, crying.
Season 5[]
After the apocalypse of Praimfaya, Clarke finds a box with Jasper's goggles and his letter on it, which makes her cry. Later in the season, she gives the letter to Monty who reads it to his friends and confirms that human beings are the problem, still causing destruction and war. Monty and Harper's son is named Jordan, in honor of Jasper.
