Jay Garrick is a vigalante and metahuman speedster, originally from Earth-3 and a supporting character in the Arrowverse series, Flash. He is portrayed by John Wesley Shipp, who also played Barry's father and Barry Allen from the 90's series.

Jay Garrick first appeared being held prisoner by an evil speedster from Earth-2 named Hunter Zolomon/Zoom. Hunter had put an iron mask on Jay with a dampener in order to suppress his speed and impersonated him with a time remnant of Hunter. He was rescued later on after Zoom was defeated and was bought back to Star Labs on Earth 1.

Crisis on Infinite Earths[]
During the Crisis on Infinate Earths, Earth-3 was among all earths destroyed and presumably destroyed all the inhabitants, including Jay and Joan.
After Crisis[]
Jay and Joan were restored after the universe was rebooted, and they both live on Earth Prime with Team Flash, inhabitants of Earth 1, and the inhabitants from Supergirl's & Black Lightning's earths. He joined Team Flash to defeat a new evil speedster, Godspeed. During the battle, he meets up with Barry and Allen's children from the future, which he is known as their uncle in their timeline.
In the Final season, Jay was part of the Battle with Team Flash against evil past speedsters led by resurrected Eddie Thawne, now known as Cobalt Blue. In the end, he was part of the celebration of the birth Barry's and Iris' first-born child.
