Jean Grey, is one of the two main protagonists of X-Men: Evolution (alongside Cyclops). She is the second in command of the X-Men with the powers of both telepathy and telekinesis, and the second student to be recruited by Professor Charles Xavier, after Scott.
She is voiced by Venus Terzo, who voiced Blackarachnia in Beast Wars and Beast Machines.
Biography[]
As Jean grew up in an upper middle class family in Connecticut, she discovered she was a mutant with the powers of telepathy and telekinesis, but was then recruited Professor Charles Xavier, to join his school for mutants the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters in the town of Bayville NY, and be part of his mutant team he called the X-Men, which she and her family accepted. As a student for Professor Xavier, Jean Grey developed a friendship with Xavier's other pupil, Scott Summers, who was also called Cyclops. As Jean attend Bayville High School with Scott, Jean became popular as she became the star player for the school's soccer team, and starting dating the star quarterback for the football team, Duncan Matthews, despite the latter's rivalry with Scott.
As she and Scott were later joined by other mutants the Professor recruited to be part of the X-Men, such as Kurt Wagner, Kitty Pryde, Evan Daniels, and Rogue, they also fought against a group of trouble making mutants called the Brotherhood, lead by the shapeshifter Mystique, who unbeknownst to them is their school principal, Miss Raven Darkhölme.
