Jedidiah Allardyce Farnsworth (also called Cookie) is a major character in Disney's 41st full-length animated feature film Atlantis: The Lost Empire and its sequel. He was born in 1842 Tulsa, Oklahoma. He started sewing in 1861 for General McLellan In 1863 he was fired and it was then in 1866 that he started working for Rourke.
Initially Cookie acts like a farwest cowboy, is a little arrogant insecure and hilarious with anyone who doubts his cooking. He also proves very clumsy, funny and is very comical. However, he also has a moral sense and is loyal to his friends, and never abandons him in time of need.
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Cookie first appears when Milo is with Helga about to leave for Atlantis, and Cookie argues with Helga over what she has put in her kitchen. In the submarine Cookie does not show up, but reappears after the attack of the mechanical monster, during the funeral of the passengers who were killed, and you can see him very sad about it. During the trip he ignores Milo, but as time goes by he begins to regret what he is doing and begins to consider Milo more and also gives him more food than his kitchen (although what he cooks is not very healthy). After plunging down into a nearby crater they discover Atlantis, Cookie takes a sightseeing tour of the city with the others while Milo stays with Kida. After Kida reveals the truth to Milo, Rourke reveals his true nature and initially Cookie is on his side. But after seeing how cruel he really is, his boss sides with Milo and the Atlanteans. When Milo sets out to save Kida (who has merged with the crystal of Atlantis; and in doing so to keep Atlantis alive), Cookie is one of those who go with him over the airships of Atlantis. The mission succeeds but the boys must now escape from a wave of lava with the volcano that awakened with the explosion of Rourke's airship (and the latter's death). They manage to escape and free Kida to prevent the death of Atlantis. With Atlantis he saves Cookie and the others greet Milo who decides to stay in Atlantis by now in love with Kida, and promise to return to find them. Cookie gives Milo a leftover stew. Back in Washington they invent a false story of the trip, where Cookie when he tells partially real facts Packard throws an umbrella over his head.
Atlantis: Milo's Return
Cookie returns in the sequel to help Milo and Kida with each other.
