Jeht Ufairah Hindi is a minor character in Genshin Impact, serving as the deuteragonist of the World Quest series Golden Slumber and The Dirge of Bilqis along with her father, Jebrael.
She is an Eremite warrior that was part of the Tanit tribe who worked with her father Jebrael for their cousin Tirzad, a scholar for the Akademiya, to investigate some ruins in the desert. After Jebrael's sacrifice, she and her Primal Construct sidekick Benben went to find her true parentage in the Tanit tribe, and to return her parents' memorabilia to the Eternal Oasis. However, the tribe head, Matriarch Babel, wants to use her to help her activate the Eternal Oasis to take over Sumeru City.
History[]
Jeht and her father Jebrael went to escort Tirzad to some ruins in the desert, but ended up trapped in a sinkhole, where they were rescued by the Traveler and Paimon. Befriending the Traveler, she also encountered a Primal Construct which she named Benben while trying to find a way out.
After Jebrael sacrificed himself at Khaj-Nisut to stop Samael from abusing the Golden Slumber, Jeht discovered that she was part of an Eremite tribe known as the Tanit after searching through some old keepsakes. Jeht was admitted into the tribe as a "half-outsider" as Jebrael was a member of the tribe who had left when Babel wanted to kill him. She quickly proved her worth for Babel by eliminating "traitors," some of which included other Tanit elders she were familiar with. In truth, Jeht wanted to go to the Eternal Oasis to lay her parents' keepsakes there to rest, so Babel hired Azariq to aid her, meeting Liloupar the jinni. When Azariq revealed that he is conspiring with the Fatui to get to the Oasis, Jeht is ultimately forced to kill him. Jeht reaches the Eternal Oasis to place her keepsakes, and has the Traveler help her in restoring Benben, after Aderfi was supposed to but escaped following the Fatui conspiracy.
The next day after the Traveler kills Tadhla out of self-defense as Masseira ordered her to hunt them down and places the remaining scattered Chess Pieces in Safhe Shajtrani, Babel orders Jeht to kill the Traveler to seize the Oasis so that she can revive the Goddess of Flowers, Nabu Malikata, to take over the Sumeru region, which she refuses, so she sends her to the Fatui for experimentation and frames her for betrayal. Before she was captured, she slaughtered a lot of the Fatui men on her way out. The Traveler confronts Jeht, who had mistaken them for betraying the tribe, with the truth upon arrival, and manages to defeat a pair of Tanit Falcons sent against the group. They then left to confront Babel who tried to manipulate her one more time to no avail, as Jeht proceeded to slaughter the Tanit elders and tribespeople on site out of revenge for Babel lying to and manipulating her. Upon defeat, Babel orders her remaining scouts to inform on other tribes about Jeht for betraying her.
Sometime after the massacre at the Tanit camps, she and her group went to hunt down Masseira, who had transgressed the Order of Skeptics and fled by the time Jeht and the Traveler confronted Tanit in the final battle, and were on good terms with them, helping the group escort a team of researchers back safely.
