Jennifer Calendar is a recurring protagonist in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer portrayed by Robia LaMorte. Starting out as a minor side-character, Calendar was quickly revealed to be a talented technopagan who was affiliated with the Kalderash clan and to be in Sunnydale with the purpose of watching over Angel, a vampire who had harmed her clan in the past.

Her first appearance came while helping Rupert Giles upload his books into the school computers, unknowingly summoning a demon called Moloch the Corruptor. Together with Giles and her fellow technopagans, Calendar was able to remove Moloch from the Internet and defeat him.

Later, she aided Giles again in figuring out an old prophecy regarding the Slayer and the Master, the latter of whom being a common enemy they shared. Calendar and a monk named Brother Luca found out that Buffy was going to die facing the Master. Despite Buffy’s inevitable demise, she went to face the Master and did indeed die, but only briefly drowned and was revived by Xander Harris. Back at Sunnydale High, Calendar helped Willow Rosenberg, Giles, and Cordelia Chase fight off the vampire army of the Master as well as a creature from the Hellmouth. Ultimately, the Master was defeated and his bones were buried on holy ground.

After Angel lost his soul and became evil, Calendar researched the old spell in an attempt to give him his soul back. However, moments after she successfully translated the old Romanian text, Angelus arrived in her classroom and destroyed her computer and burned the pages. Angelus then brutally murdered her after a short chase, leaving her corpse in the bed of her lover, Rupert Giles.

However, her work was not in vain, as she had created a backup file on the Ritual of Restoration on a floppy disk, which was found a few weeks later by Willow Rosenberg and Buffy Summers. Using the disk, Willow successfully re-ensouled Angel despite the dangers of the ritual. Calendar ultimately succeeded in her goal, despite it costing the technopagan her own life.

One year later, the ensouled Angel was tormented by the First Evil using Calendar as a disguise. Using this form, the First Evil tried to convince Angel to murder Buffy Summers or commit suicide. Angel would have chosen the latter had it not been for Buffy exposing the First Evil for what it really was and stopping him before the sun rose.
