Jessica Gordon is a minor character of Captain Underpants and the Big, Bad Battle of the Bionic Booger Boy, the sixth installment of the Captain Underpants book series, and one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Mr. Meaner) in the books' television adaption, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants. She is a student at Jerome Horwitz Elementary School.

History[]

Role in the books[]

In Captain Underpants and the Big Bad Battle of the Bionic Booger Boy - Part 1: The Night of the Nasty Nostril Nuggets, she and Stephanie Wycoff show how to cook frozen lasagna in a pop-up toaster for Demonstration Speech Day, but they end up causing a fire in the process.

Role in the TV Series[]

In The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, where she often engages in her own girly affairs but will often become involved in the wild antics of the show. She has her own girl posse called "The Sophies" that accompany her in almost every episode.

She becomes Messica Gorgon in "The Vexing Villainy of the Vile Vimpire" because of Melvin and his inventions. Not only does she mistreat Other Sophie for things she does a little wrong, but she also treats Captain Underpants like a baby when he's crying while trying to fight with her. She even mistreats Harold after George throws a loaf of bread in his hair.

In "The Bizarre Blitzkrieg of the Bothersome Butt-erflies", Jessica kicks George, Harold, and Melvin out of the school cafeteria when the children are hiding from the Butt-erflies. This action likely would have led to the boys being killed had it not been for Captain Underpants saving the day.

In "The Confounding Concoction of the Crooked Combotato", when Jessica and the other kids run from the initial rainstorm, she tries and fails to use Other Sophie as an umbrella. She tells the fourth story. In her story, Combotato and Captain Underpants (or as she calls him "Captain Underwear") wind up at Popular High. She appears with her Sophies as the popular squad and reveals that Captain Underpants and Combotato can join them if they win a rap battle. They fail to win and thus get rejected. When the real Combotato appears, Jessica is disgusted to see her clone with har that has been ruined.

Personality[]

As Jessica, she is a mean and sassy girl that acts as though she is the boss of everyone. She is usually seen with "The Sophies" and treating them unlawfully as though they are her slaves. This is especially the case for "Other" Sophie, as she is seen bullying and harassing her for no reason in particular. This is especially shown throughout the second season when Other Sophie disappears and is replaced by a tree sloth, to which she, as well as everyone else, can't tell the difference. However, she does have a soft side on Sophie "One" and is seen as a best friend to her.

As Messica, she becomes even more villainous due to her vampire state. She can be seen as a lifeless floating person that would have had no remorse for the people around her pleading for her to stop sucking their joy. She can also be seen as rude as she is to Other Sophie normally to everyone, such as when she taunts Captain Underpants for not being able to defeat her.

Appearance[]

In her sole appearance in the book series, Jessica is a medium-skinned girl with brown hair styled similarly to Heidi's. She wears a small light yellow bow in her hair.

She has a radically different design in the TV series. In the show, she has mid-dark tan skin with darker blushes and red lipstick. She wears a pink dress with a light stripe in the middle and a lighter shirt under it. Her boots are the same color as her undershirt. She also has brown poofy hair with squiggly lighter lines for shines. Her design references the "mean girl" archetype.

Trivia[]

  • Jessica makes a rule for Sophie One and Other Sophie that they're not allowed to talk, unless they're in crowds. In one episode, when she makes Gooch one of her Sophies, her rule for no talking applies to him as well.
