The Jester is the overarching protagonist of the film Justice League: Crisis on two Earth's, He is an alternate reality version of the famous DC villain The Joker and a heroic member of Luthor’s league.

He was voiced by James Patrick Stuart.

Biography[]

He is seen in the beginning of the film breaching the Injustice HQ while aiding his own reality's version of Lex Luthor in stealing a quantum trigger guarded by a metal chamber the Jester ruses. His Cane to melt away the door that would allow both of them to travel to alternate realities and recruit heroes from those reality's to fight The Crime Syndicate of America, his reality's version of the Justice League, albeit evil versions who were out for bigger plans on threatening parallel worlds before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, their heist triggered a silent alarm which led to his own friend and himself attempting to flee before their enemies ever shown up to quickly thwart their efforts, soon both Jedd Jarkus and Angelique, both evil opposite counterparts of Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl arrived to stop them. As the villains began to catch up, after hearing an explosion, knowing the other of their enemies are shortly coming Jester refused to follow Luthor with a sad look, knowing the odds of their escape instead he selflessly stood guard, hoping to instead buy his friend enough time to recruit more urgent need and complete their ultimate goal on stopping the rest of the league, Luthor attempted to usher Jester into joining him to which The Jester playfully made a “Joke” subtly hinting for Luthor to continue his journey escaping without him as he teases his bald head from bring hesitant to stand beside him before closing the vent. When he backed away to face his foes, both Jarus and Angelique finally caught up to Jester they easily defeated him by punching and cornered him towards the pipes as they began to look at him coldly, The Jester taunts them in an ecstatic gesture knowing that he successfully let Luthor escape by himself and leaving there Injustice league fruitless on their efforts to apprehend his partner, enraged Angelique then implies her sword and begins to tortured The Jester who let out an agonizing and screech of pain when she twists the sword demanding him for answer. in an attempt to regain the trigger. Jester merely said he was down to his last joke, but it would "kill them". With that, he detonated a bomb that blew up the building they were inside, killing himself, Jarkus, and Angelique and blowing up the single platform above of the Headquarters of the Building as Lex Luthor began to honor his late friend what would he wanted for is the Jester to make Luthor carry out what he intended to bring alongside Luthor towards their enemies When Luthor was Cornered by the rest of the injustice League and escaped to Earth-2 to recruit the prime earth Justice League.

Later in the film, after Luthor had recruited the prime universe DC heroes to help him, they used Jester's base as a hideout and were greeted by a monkey dressed in a Harlequin costume. Luthor sorrowfully said "I'm sorry Harley, The Jester's never coming back."

Personality[]

Unlike the DC prime universe's Joker who is selfish, cruel and sadistic, Jester is selfless, optimistic and makes jokes that are friendly in nature. But he is not afraid to face his enemies face to face and is willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the few remaining heroes in his reality. This allowed Lex to escape and his efforts were not in vain. He also uses some of Joker's trademark equipment such as bombs with smiles painted on, and hydrochloric acid to eat through solid objects. Like his Prime counterpart, the Jester seems to smile at the face of death, showing he was willing to take two villains down.
