Jimmy is a supporting character of season two in the AMC's The Walking Dead. He is a teenager who is the boyfriend of Beth Greene who has been taken into Hershel's care and who works with her family on the farm. He will help Rick Grimes and his group find Carol Peletier's daughter Sophia before they learn that she has been turned into a Walker and presumably locked in the barn by Otis. He is eventually killed in Dale Horvath's RV during the Walkers invasion of the farm.

He was portrayed by James Allen McCune.

History

Season 2

Jimmy appears for the first time when Maggie alerts him and the others of Rick's arrival who brings his son Carl to them, shot by Otis. He is next seen with Beth as Otis goes to see his wife Patricia. Jimmy is also present at the funeral of Otis, who died during the raid with Shane Walsh who in fact killed him to escape with the medical equipment to treat Carl.

In "Chupacabra", he joins Rick's group and offers to help them by claiming that Hershel has given him permission to help them. He is taunted by Daryl after he chuckles that Daryl believes in Chupacabra. Andrea agrees to take Jimmy with T-Dog to search for Sophia before being trained in shooting by Shane.

The next day, he helps Rick and the others again and describes the locations around the farm. Then he goes to the shooting range with the others. He shoots the cans and T-Dog tells him to do it right and not the "gangsta" way. In the next episode, he accompanies Hershel and Rick out of the Walkers stuck in a swamp. He helps them bring them back to the barn and they are interrupted by Shane who in excess of rage kills the two zombies and those who were in the barn.

Next, Jimmy helps dig graves for the shot dead and attended their funerals. In "Judge, Jury, Executioner", he takes care of Carl when the group decides what to do with Randall. He then attends the funeral of Dale, disembowelled by a Walker during the night. He is ordered to stay safe on the farm with the others after Shane reports Randall has fled.

In the next episode, he defends the farm in Dale's RV by shooting the Walkers who are invading the premises. He goes in the vehicle to the burning barn and he rescues Rick and Carl who get on the RV to escape the Walkers. However, the zombies break into the vehicle and devour Jimmy.

Season 9

In "What Comes After", Rick hallucinates the corpses of his relatives, including Jimmy's body.

• In the episode "Judge, Jury, Executioner", Dale was supposed to find Jimmy's corpse although it was replaced by that of a cow.
