Appearance[]

Jinshi has a very beautiful appearance, primarily his face, that is outstanding enough to attract common females as well as males. Although depending on the adaption of the story, in the anime, he has smooth long dark purple-colored hair with two bangs on both sides on the front. His hair at the back top is also tied with clothing, which is different in contrast to other individuals of his rank. His appearance is also somewhat feminine as Maomao first believed that he is a female. His eyes are also a pink color.

He can be usually an openly friendly man who greets others with a charming smile but will soon stick to a stern attitude in serious circumstances. Occasionally, because of his second personality, he also wears a childish expression. As someone of a prominent position within the palace, he sports a dark blue robe with dark golden linings all over his sleeves along with a cloth of paler blue color. Furthermore, the mention of callused hands from wielding a blade adds a touch of realism to his character, suggesting that beyond his captivating appearance, Jinshi is not just a symbol of beauty but also possesses practical skills, likely related to combat or swordsmanship.

In a somewhat contrasting note, despite his feminine facial features, Maomao compliments that his physique is unexpectedly good. Despite this, it combines a delicate and captivating facial beauty with a contrasting, masculine body. The use of lipstick by Maomao emphasizes Jinshi's beauty to such an extent that it could be deemed a national calamity if others were to witness it, highlighting the narrative's humor and exaggeration.

Personality[]

Notable within the palace for his very charming and outstanding appearance, Jinshi uses his irresistible looks to seduce primarily women, a trait he is very proud of. On the surface he seems a very confident and easy-going man, but he is actually someone who lacks confidence in himself.

There is a duality in Jinshi's personality, as noted by Maomao. In public, he presents an angelic persona, emphasizing his captivating appearance and charm. However, behind this facade, he reveals a more childish and lazy side, which he keeps hidden from the general public, known only to a select few.

To compensate for what he perceives as shortcomings, Jinshi strategically leverages his extraordinary looks and natural charm as tools in his arsenal. This suggests a level of self-awareness and pragmatism in his character.

Despite his almost perfect traits - great-looking and wealthy, he acknowledges that he falls short in comparison to his brother, the Emperor, who casts a large shadow over him. He doesn't see himself as a great scholar or a brilliant leader.
