Jinta is the titular main protagonist of the adventure fantasy manga and anime series Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō. He is a demon hunter living in the Edo Period. He is also the Sentinel of his shrine called Itsukihime located in the mountain village of Kadono. He is assigned to guard his shrine and protect it from the existence of demons.

Jinta is a handsome and muscular young man. He has black hair and black eyes. As a demon hunter, he possesses a regular-looking sword with a black guard. He occasionally wears a shredded white shirt. His forearms are wrapped in protective dark bracers, and he has fingerless gloves. Throughout his battles, he gained many visible scars across his body, especially as shown along his arms. He wears a robe that is loosely tucked in dark, knee-length hakama-style pants. He also has a red sash tied around his waist. He has a leather belt with a pouch and a sheathed dagger hangs on his hip. His legs are protected by armor strapped with dark leggings and he wears traditional Japanese sandals.
