Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II[]

Following General Ghorbrani's assassination during an arms deal, Quds Force Major Hassan Zyani decides enact revenge against the United States by allying with the terrorist organization Al-Qatala. Gaining intel that Hassan could be possibly hiding in Al Mazrah, Soap and Ghost are assigned to lead the MARSOC marines to capture or eliminate the target. The team fight against the Al-Qatala and are unable to find Zyani, seeing that he left the area around the time they arrived. Reaching a warehouse, they discover that Hassan has obtained an American ballistic missiles, and Captain Price, Gaz and Laswell are able to get information that Zyani is being smuggled into America by the Las Almas Cartel.

After Los Vaqueros fail to capture Hassan, Soap and Ghost are tasked with assisting Colonel Alejandro Vargas in capturing Zyani. In Las Almas, the group receive support from Shadow Company and its commander Phillip Graves in capturing Hassan, but are ordered by Shepherd and Laswell to let him go after his interrogation. Due to fighting against the cartel, they gain the attention of its leader "El Sin Nombre", and Soap, Ghost, Alejandro, and Graves decide to capture them to learn the location of the second missile. Soap agrees to infiltrate the cartel's base to find their target, and is interrogated by Valeria Garzia, whom is revealed to be "El Sin Nombre" once the group capture her. Valeria agrees to give them the location in exchange they let her go and never return to Las Almas, and Graves accepts her terms despite Vargas' warning.

Revealing the missile is placed on an oil rig off the Gulf of Mexico, Soap and Ghost work with Los Vaqueros and Shadow Company in to stop the launch. Despite reaching the missile, they learn that the launch codes are on the cargo ship, and managed to change the missiles direction to destroy the rig. Returning to the Vaqueros' base, Graves reveals that he has taken it over and that General Shepherd has given him command of the operation. When he also explains that he has detained Alejandro's men, a firefight breaks out, with Vargas being captured, Ghost escaping, and MacTavish being wounded. He manages to reach the city where Graves has ordered his men to round up civilians and corrupt cops, forcing him to evade and reach Ghost at a local church.

Meeting with Alejandro's right-hand Rodolfo Parra, the trio return to the base to rescue Alejandro and his men, and escape with the help of Price and Gaz. 141 and Vaqueros learn from Laswell that Shepherd and Graves did an illegal operation to give missiles to their Middle-Eastern allies, but Graves' unit were ambushed by the Russians. After losing the missiles, the two decided to bury the operation, and are intending to do so since the task force were getting too close. Needing to find the last missile, Price decides to form Joint Task Force - Ghost Team with Los Vaqueros to eliminate Graves, give them back their base, and interrogate Valeria. During the assault on the base, Soap manages to "kill" Graves by using explosives, and the team learn from Garza that Hassan is in Chicago with the missile. Soap even tells to Valeria that she is going down for what she did.

In Chicago, the task force performs a joint operation with the MARSOC marines to stop the missile, and are given permission to eliminate Zyani. While rescuing hostages and infiltrating the building, they see the missile be launched as Laswell informs them that its heading to the Pentagon. Soap manages to obtain the abort codes and destroy the missile midair, and Ghost eliminates Hassan when the terrorist attempts to kill MacTavish. Following the operation, 141 meets with Laswell and agree to take down Shepherd despite the latter's attempt to escape from the government. Kate also reveals that the Ultranationalists ambushed Graves' convoy, and that their working with a new leader whom Price identifies as Makarov.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III[]

In 2023, 141 prepares for another assignment until Price aborts the mission, explaining to his teammates that Makarov has escaped from the Zordaya Prison Complex. The task force is then sent to a nuclear power plant in Urzikstan to stop Konni Group, a private military company under Vladimir's leadership as they were spotted in the area. Discovering that Konni are attempting to obtain gas from General Barkov's era, they attempt to stop them to no avail. Despite the setback, the team is informed that ULF Commander Farah Karim planted trackers on missiles containers that Konni stole recently, allowing Laswell to track them to an abandoned bunker in the region. Soap joins Ghost and Gaz in infiltrating another section of the complex while Price and Farah clear another, learning of Konni's plans to launch the missiles.

Despite Price and Farah stopping one from launching, the others fail to stop two from being released to the Arklov Peak Military Base. Following the operation, 141 forms a temporary alliance with General Shepherd and Graves in exchange for information on Makarov's financer Milena Romanova although Soap and Ghost are not pleased to see Graves and will never forgive him for his betrayal at Las Almas. Soap and Ghost are then assigned to confront Milena on her island, successfully receiving intel from her on Konni stationing themselves in St. Petersburg. After Price and Gaz captured and interrogated Vladimir's right-hand Andrei Nolan, they learn that Makarov is transporting a high-valued target in Siberia and travel there with Karim. Intercepting the convoy, they discover that target is Shepherd himself, prompting the group to return to Laswell to evade Konni's forces.

Meeting with Laswell, the group strike a deal with the general - give them information on Makarov's plans in exchange he returns to the United States and speak to congress. Accepting the deal, Shepherd reveals that Makarov is sending Konni to the Gora Dam to destroy it and flood Verdansk's population. Soap and Ghost arrive there to stop the terrorist leader's plans, eliminating enemy forces and disabling each bomb around the dam. Following a successful attack on one of Konni's base, Shepherd and Graves speak to congress and turn on each other on what happened in Las Almas. Despite Shepherd declaring Makarov killed during the assault, Laswell is contacted by MI6 of Konni's presence in London and their meeting with a hacker.

Soap and Gaz are tasked with locating the hacker as Ghost overwatches, learning of Makarov's plans to use a virus from a flash drive to control London's train systems. The team fails to stop Vladimir from launching the virus, but work with Metropolitan Police Service to stop the terrorist leader from detonating a bomb in the channel tunnel. Fighting against Konni forces, Soap and Price reach the bomb and attempt to deactivate it, but the two are ambushed by Makarov. Despite his gunshot wound, MacTavish attempts to stop Vladimir from killing John, resulting in him being shot in the head during the attempt. Makarov then escapes when Ghost, Gaz and the police arrive as Price successfully deactivates the bomb before it detonates.

After his death, Price, Ghost and Gaz pay their respects to their fallen teammate by spreading his ashes in Scotland, intending to avenge his death. At some point after Soap's funeral, Price travels to the United States and eliminates Shepherd for his crimes before continuing to hunt Makarov down.
