Jon Flint is a character in Beverly Hills Cop III. Jon Flint is Billy Rosewood's new partner who replaced John Taggart who retired and also a friend to Ellis DeWald until his betrayal upon learning that he was the one who did really shot Uncle Dave Thornton. He is played by Hector Elizondo.

Beverly Hills Cop III

Jon Flint was the new partner of Billy Rosewood following the retirement of John Taggart. He meets Axel Foley who was searching the killer of his boss Inspector Douglas Todd who was killed during the shootout in the Chop shop. When an incident happened in Wonder World Theme Park owned by Uncle Dave Thornton, he arrives to find Axel Foley who saved some kids from falling to their deaths as a result of the ferris wheel almost broke down by one the park's security guard in the office where he confronted Ellis DeWald whom Foley recognizes as the killer of Inspector Douglas Todd, but Flint refuses to believe it and he was a friend of his.

Sometime later, Jon Flint was in an apartment with the Fire Department, he received a message from Billy Rosewood that something happened again in Wonder World Theme Park. Then a fireman informs him that Uncle Dave Thornton is been shot by Axel Foley not knowing it was Ellis DeWald who is the real shooter.

He arrives at the Wonder World Theme Park, to find the place being ransacked that a battle already broke out between Axel Foley, Billy Rosewood, Ellis DeWald, Sanderson and their men. As he was examining the fallen guard, another guard from the gondola opens fires at him and he shoots back using the fallen guard's machine gun making the guard fall off the gondola. He then yells at someone to turn the park's theme song off, not knowing the controls of the entire theme park is damaged in the shootout earlier and knowing of DeWald's treachery. He soon finds Axel Foley who just killed DeWald, shooting and killing Agent Fullbright and is accidentally shot in the arm and joins him with Rosewood who also is wounded by the security.

After Uncle Dave is recovered from the shooting, he is in a wheel chair with Rosewood and Foley, he introduces a new character in the park Axel Fox in honor for Axel Foley for bringing the traitor DeWald to justice.
