Joshua "Josh" Primm is the deuteragonist of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. He is the young son and so far only child of his parents, Katie and Joseph Primm. In the film, he is portrayed by Winslow Fegley, who also played Young Neil Bogart in Spinning Gold, Alex in Nightbooks, Timmy Failure in Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made, Byron in Come Play, Andy in The Naughty Nine, and Jake Doyle in 8-Bit Christmas.

- Funny, Funny Lyle, one of the books in the Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile franchise by Bernard Waber, reveals that Josh is the oldest child in the Primm family, since Katie gave birth to a girl named Miranda. In the film, Josh is so far an only child.
- Josh states that Katie is his stepmother, due to his birth mother's passing prior to the events of the film. Thankfully, however, he still lovingly calls Katie "Mom".
- Josh has a ND coding (Autism maybe?) and a vegan stepmother which may contribute to his "specific diet" and his inability to socialize with other kids. He also may have anxiety about things as shown in the beginning part of him freaking out over time and having a strict routine.
