Juan Cortez is a major character in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Biography[]
Colonel of Bolivian descent, father of Mercedes Cortez and boss of his gang.
Juan was characterized by a nice attitude towards Tommy Vercetti and organizing grand party's on her yacht. He is being hunted by the French police. Facilitates arms trading, secret government projects, etc.
Juan, in exchange for a few favors, helps Tommy to investigate Vercetti's unsuccessful trade with the Vance brothers. He discovers that it is thanks to Ricardo Diaz and that his "right hand" also had his fingers in it.
After the investigation, Juan must leave Vice City. Tommy helps him get out of the city, in return for which he receives a boat that he could return to land, money and eternal gratitude.
