~ Julius to Jason before his death.

Julius Samuel Gaw is the secondary deuteragonist of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. He is Sean Robertson's, Wayne Webber's, and Miles Wolfe's best friend.

He was portrayed by Vincent Craig Dupree.

Biography[]

Julius was among several students who set off aboard the SS Lazarus on a field trip to New York. During the voyage, the undead killer Jason Voorhees boarded the vessel and started massacring the passengers and crew. When Jason's presence was realised, Julius organized a posse to search the ship and hunt the masked mass murderer down. However, these would-be heroes all ended up being killed and Julius himself was thrown overboard by Jason.

As Charles McCulloch, Rennie Wickham, her dog Toby, Sean Robertson and Colleen Van Deusen abandoned ship in a lifeboat, Julius suddenly joined the other survivors as they escaped from the doomed ship. They would eventually reach New York, but shortly after reaching the port, Rennie was abducted at gunpoint by a pair of street thugs. Julius and the others would then split up to try and find help, unaware that Jason had managed to follow them to port. As he tries to call the cops, Jason broke the glass of the phone booth by punching it and tried to pull him out to kill him. Fortunately Julius escaped and climbed up a fire escape to the top of a building but the masked killer seemingly got there before him. Julius defended himself using his boxing skills but Jason was completely unfazed by the strikes. Julius, too tired to throw more punches after hitting Jason up to fifty times resulting in bloody knuckles, tells the killer take his best shot. Jason grabbed his jacket, and punched him in the face so hard his head fell off and landed in a dumpster. Julius' head would fall through the windshield of a police cruiser witnessed by Rennie Wickham, Sean Robertson, Charles McCulloch, Collen Van Deusen, and an Irish cop. It would then fall on the front seat and is destroyed with the police car.
