Junior was created after Jibanyan took a blow from a a Shinmigami agent, revealing a large hole in his chest. The parts of him that was scattered created Junior.
Junior was first seen in the episode Redhead the Plunder Demon, where he turned into a boy to play card games with other children in hopes to find a Blizzard Wolf card to help an old lady that owns a sweet shop. However he kept scaring the other children due to over exitmentment and turning into the Burning Dragon. He later played a game with members of the Yo-kai Detective Agency, later told him his story and so turned into the Blizzard Wolf to help the old lady.
Junior returned in the episode Al's Rebellion, where he went to showcase a compation against Micchy and a cleaning robot. He later joined the agency with a mission to see what is happening with the cleaning robots, while scaring two men in his boy form.
In the episode I am a Cat Yo-kai, Junior went to tell both Jibanyan and Komasan how he was created.

Junior is so far the only Yo-kai to have more than one Shadowside form, possibly due to the fact that he is a shapeshifter.
