Juru was originally an ordinary high school with aspirations of being an artist until he came across the Kiramagers battling against Emperor Yodon. After the Red Kiramai Stone detected an immense sparkling inside of him, it chose him to become KiramaiRed, leader of the Kiramagers. While the others initially were skeptical of him being a Kiramager, Juru soon proved himself by demonstrating his imagination power, turning the Kiramai Crystals into crystal mecha called "Mashins". With the Mashins, the Kiramagers were able to destroy the Faucet Hildon beast sent down by dark emperor.
Despite his imagination power, the other Kiramagers, especially Tametomo, were still unsure of Juru's leadership. Juru's skills as a leader were soon put to the test when Sena Hayami didn't show up for a battle against Rugby Jamen so she could practice for her upcoming track meet. Juru and Mabushina soon came up with a solution to the problem by creating a crystal device known as a "Daiyakun", which could mimic Sena and substitute for her in her track meet while she assisted the Kiramagers against Rugby Jamen. Sena was convinced to stay, but Juru later told her that she should instead go to the track meet she had practiced so hard for, assuring her that the Daiyakun of her would be enough to help the Kiramagers against Rugby Jamen. Later on, after Sena completed her track meet she showed up to help the Kiramagers defeat Rugby Jamen and the Jamen Beast Rugger Ligany.
Juru's leadership was soon put to the test again during the battle against Vise Jamen, when Shiguru Oshikiri got a vise stuck on his head and was rendered unable to transform. Despite Shiguru's attempts to put up a "cool" act for his movie, as soon as he is alone he starts crying out in pain and accidentally reveals to Juru and the other Kiramagers how much the pain is hurting him. Despite this, Shiguru refuses to back down from starring in his movie and presses on. Later, when the Kiramagers are battling against the Vise Jamen and his Bechats, Shiguru attempts to join the battle too despite not being able to transform. To prevent Shiguru from getting himself injured, Juru convinces Shiguru to stay behind and not go into battle until he is able to transform again, telling him it would be a great introduction similar to the role of the samurai he is playing in the movie he is filming. After the Kiramagers use the handle on Vise Jamen's head to free Shiguru from the Vise, Shiguru transforms into Kiramai Blue and duels the Vise Jamen one on one. After defeating the Vise Jamen, KiramaiBlue joins his comrades in fighting against the Jamen Beast Vise Sherga. The five Kiramagers combine their Mashins to form Mashin Gattai Kiramaizin and destroy Vise Sherga.
Following their battle against Neanderthal Jamen, the Kiramagers and Mabushina were approached by Galza, who claimed to have had his emotions taken away and been brainwashed by Emperor Yodon into betraying Crystalia and his brother, King Oradin. Galza also told Mabushina that her father Oradin was alive and that he could bring him to her if she brought him the White Kiramai Crystal. After Mabushina stole the White Kiramai Crystal to take to Galza, KiramaiRed followed her to her meeting spot with Galza while the Kiramagers dealt with the Jamen Beast Paleoth Basra that the Yodonheim had sent down in Kiramaizin. During his confrontation with Galza, KiramaiRed revealed Galza must have been lying about his story about having his emotions taken away as, in Juru's dream, he heard Galza laughing. Galza then showed his true colors and revealed that he did indeed betray Crystalia out of his own free will out of jealousy for Oradin being the King. Donning his Yodonheim armor, Galza fought KiramaiRed and despite KiramaiRed's best efforts to keep up, he was overpowered by the Yodonheim general. After the Kiramagers arrived to provide backup to their leader, Galza summoned his own Mashin Smog Jouki to do battle with the Kiramagers in Kiramaizin, also destroying Paleoth Basra when it got in the way. After fighting the Kiramagers for a short while Galza decided he had had enough and left. Returning to CARAT, despite his failure to stop Galza, Juru was commended by his teammates for standing up for Mabushina.
