Justice, also known as the Awesome Demon, is a major supporting character from the 2020 indie game Helltaker, as well as its tie-in web comics.
She is the 7th demon encountered by the Helltaker. She is generally very chill and provides support for Helltaker on his mission.
Biography[]
Meeting Helltaker[]
When Helltaker meets Justice at the end of level 7, she praises the player for solving the puzzle and finds it impressive. The player can respond with two choices: "It took some work. Wanna join my harem?" or "I just skipped it in the menu. Wanna join my harem?" If the player chooses the first option, Justice eagerly agrees to join without hesitation, excited for the party. If the player chooses the second option, Justice appreciates the player's approach and gladly accepts, saying "The More, the Merrier!" She's later seen again during Helltaker's battle against Judgement proving encouraging toward the latter by shouting ""Keep going..." and "You're on a roll!"
Epilogue[]
In the game's epilogue, Helltaker offers her some of his chocolate pancakes, but Justice asks him why he never takes his glasses off. Helltaker asks her the same question, to which Justice responds by lifting up her glasses, revealing that she's blind, which makes Helltaker embarrassed.
Impersonating Law Enforcement[]
In the game's sixteenth web comic titled "Justice Joins the Team", Justice disguises herself as a police officer. Modeus asks if Justice if she plans to arrest someone, which she confirms. Modeus then reminds Justice that the porn videos they watched were acted by professionals, not real. Justice tells her that they'll have to act out their own scenarios by visiting people until someone plays along. The comic shows Justice, Modeus, and Azazel (with a camcorder) outside. It ends with a note about the trio getting arrested.
Personality[]
Justice is the most easygoing demon in the game and doesn't harm Helltaker in any ending, unlike all of the other demon girls who may determinantly kill him if he responds incorrectly. Her personality isn't fully explored in the game due to limited dialogue, but what's shown suggests she's playful and friendly. For example, encouraging Judgement during her battle with Helltaker. However, it's unclear if these are just jokes or if she genuinely cares for Judgement, considering her past as the High Prosecutor. In the epilogue, Justice's playful side comes out more when she bets that Helltaker has laser vision.
Appearance[]
Justice, like other characters in Helltaker, is portrayed as a short demon girl with pale skin, silver-white hair, and small black horns. She has grey irises due to being blind, which is revealed in the epilogue. Her hair is tied in a short ponytail with a red bandana, and she wears sunglasses to conceal her blindness.
Initially, Justice wears a red shirt with a black tie secured by silver clips, under a loose black suit jacket draped over her shoulders. She has red fingerless gloves with metal tags labeled "HPJ", likely referring to her title "High Prosecutor Justice". Her outfit includes black pants, a belt, and boots typical of demons.
In the later "Examtaker" DLC, Justice's appearance changes with her horns turning from black to white due to aging. Her hair is no longer tied back and falls loosely to a medium length. She wears a black maid uniform with a white apron and red oven mitts.
In "Justice Joins The Team", she sports a red tank top paired with black shorts and a matching belt. She wears black shoulder pads and a protective belt labeled "POLICE". Additionally, she has handcuffs on one wrist and a black baseball cap with "POLICE" in white lettering. Her hair is worn loose, and she still wears her gloves and sunglasses.

- Her name and disability are a reference to the popular saying "justice is blind".
- She is the only demon that doesn't kill Helltaker in any Ending.
- She was friends with Lucifer before meeting Helltaker.
- Lucifer is the one gifted her the unique gloves she wears, and they clearly respect each other, as seen in the game's true ending where Justice has her arm around Lucifer's shoulder.
- She was the high prosecutor before Judgement, and is implied to have lost her sight during one of her many battles.
