Kūkaku Shiba is a supporting character in the Bleach franchise.
She's the leader of the Shiba Clan. She is the sister of Ganju and the late Kaien Shiba, as well as a personal friend of Yoruichi Shihōin.
She is voiced by Akiko Hiramatsu in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Cindy Robinson in the English version of the anime.
Appearance[]
Kūkaku is a young-looking, beautiful woman of medium height with green eyes and long black hair. Most of her head, legs and right shoulder are wrapped in bandages. She wears a white and red robe that exposes her rather big breasts. In addition, she has no right arm (in the anime she has a prosthetic arm), and her left arm is decorated with a big black tattoo. In some scenes, she is also clad in a large cloak and wears wooden sandals.
Personality[]
Kūkaku is extremely temperamental, angry and aggressive, beating and scolding anyone who annoys her, as Ichigo and Ganju found out when during one of their fights they accidentally knocked Kūkaku's pipe out of her hand and broke it, after which she became so angry that that she demolished the whole house with one punch to the floor, injuring her brother and cousin in the process. In addition, Kūkaku is famous for very frequent and unexpected changes in the location and design of her houses, but they are always thematically consistent and easily distinguishable from the others. In addition, one thing with them always remains the same: her apartments are located outside built-up areas, as she values silence, which Yoruichi pointed out.
She is also quite an expert on fireworks, which turned out to be the key for Ichigo and friends to get into Seireitei, proving her high intellect and knowledge. She also seems to be very fond of smoking, as she is often seen with a pipe in her hand.

- In the anime, the three guardians Aizen has summoned to Sōkyoku hill weren't shown. Instead, Kūkaku Shiba arrived with Jidanbō Ikkanzaka, and used Raikohō to attack Aizen, before he was subdued by Yoruichi and Suì Feng.
