Kabbu is one of the main protagonists of indie video game Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling. He is a Beetle and veteran explorer who travelled to Bugaria from a village in the north.

History

Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling

Kabbu is an explorer who left the safety of his northern village home alongside his master and his friend Bit to explore the rest of the world. However their travels led them into the Far Swamplands where they soon found themselves fighting for their lives against a monstrous centipede creature called The Beast. Despite the trios efforts to fight back, only Kabbu managed to survive the encounter because his allies sacrificed themselves to protect him.

Kabbu continued his travels alone and eventually made his way to the Ant Kingdom in hopes of finding an ancient artifact sought after by the ant queen Elizant II. The artifact laid hidden within Snakemouth Den but Kabbu was unable to enter without a parter to watch his back. Luckily he was able to convince a young bee explorer named Vi to join him so they can find the artifact together. Kabbu soon came across another bug named Leif who became his second companion after rescuing him from a giant spider. The three of them manage to succeed in obtaining the ancient artifact and continue to assist Queen Elizant II in acquiring the rest needed to find the Everlasting Sapling.

Much later, Kabbu and his team journey to the Wasp Kingdom to retrieve an artifact stolen by the villainous Wasp King. But to get there they needed to travel through the Far Swamplands where The Beast still resides. Kabbu blamed his past inexperience as an explorer for what happened to his old village friends and was determined to not let those events happen again with his new allies. However when The Beast suddenly blocked the teams path ahead, Kabbu flew into a rage and proceeded to fight the creature despite protests from his teammates.

The explorers fought well against The Beast but their foe dealt a major blow to both Vi and Leif which made Kabbu realised that his anger was allowing history to repeat itself. Determined to protect his friends, Kabbu gathered his strength before finally defeating The Beast once and for all.
