Kagekatsu Uesugi is a supporting character in the Samurai Warriors video game series. He is one of Kenshin's adopted sons and his successor, originally the son of Kenshin's sister, Aya.
He is voiced by Ryouta Takeuchi, who also voiced Kojūrō Katakura in the same series, Elias Ainsworth in The Ancient Magus' Bride, and Darui in Naruto Shippuden.
History[]
Upon being adopted by Kenshin, Kagekatsu was making apprehension to replaced his father's legacy in the future, which helps the Uesugi besieged at Kawanakajima and Kantō. Despite his grumpy, he will protecting his mother and also very quite to be determined in order respected for his father. With the help of defeat the Hojo clan, Kenshin adoptive of Kagetora, by though will having all of siblings. Kagekatsu then made sentiment for his younger brother in the same ways as his parents, much to their deeds. At that result, Kenshin and Aya noticed that his concern and urged him to allowed his support for Kagetora, yet only would closing to him.
He managed rushing to his brother's savior from Tedorigawa, but steps along to that takes their speech to the heart. Upon Kagetora apologized for his misbehavior about Kagekatsu in a early, thanks to him. Kenshin meet his end upon succumbed of illness, Kagekatsu become a new leader of the Uesugi thus when he changed on his mind to help with Kanetsugu. Throughout by his joined in the war, Kagekatsu left Kagetora alone and forced Aya to leaving him for the blockade at Kasugayama Castle. To carry on his leadership, he keep warring, which as Kagetora accidentally downfall. After his brother's death, Kagekatsu breaking his heart and crying out, even that the grievous is too much under of the affliction.
Kagekatsu later joined with Kanetsugu to battling the Date forces in Hasedō, which he went to against Masamune and stop him from constantly sabotage with mass murdering of the people. However, he then support his friend's plans at while, the Uesugi forces sounds their query for it. In aftermaths of the Western Army falling at Sekigahara, Kagekatsu surrendering to Ieyasu and keep Yonezawa and his bequest safe. He also participated in the battle of Osaka Castle together with the Tokugawa in order to attacked the Sanada forces. When Yukimura is slain, Kagekatsu survives the battle because of he thinks to evidence that the territory's unification.
