Biography
How he meets the player depends on what race they chose as their avatar.
In the human route he greets the player when they meet him in Dairon City where he takes the player to the Hunter's Guild.
He accompanies the player on several missions afterwards until they reach the Makara Ruins where he seemingly dies fighting off a horde of monsters to protect his friends while they teleport to the moon.
However, Kai is revealed to have survived thanks to the aid of other hunters and he also aided disarming the use of one of Mother Trinity's weapons.
Following the destruction of Dark Falz and Mother Trinity, he was able to reunite with the rest of the main cast.
