~ Kamarov rescuing Soap after he killed Zakhaev. |
During the war, Kamarov agreed to help Captain Price and his squad in rescuing a former Ultranationalist informant, code named "Nikolai". Kamarov met with Captain Price, Lieutenant Gaz and Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish near a town, and asked for their assistance to help his men against the Ultranationalists. Soap assisted by taking a sniper position and killing soldiers so Kamarov's forces could move, and Kamarov took them to another spot. Angered, Gaz threatened Kamarov to take them to Nikolai, and informed them that he was being held in a house. Price and his team went away, but Kamarov stayed behind to watch over the battle, and support his men.
After Khaled Al-Asad and Vladimir Makarov detonated a nuke in Iraq, and Al-Asad was tracked to a safehouse in Azerbaijan, captured, interrogated, and then executed, Price contacted Kamarov once again to aid him in capturing Imran's son, Viktor. Kamarov met with Price and his squad, which also consisted of United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance troops led by Staff Sergeant Griggs, in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. After eliminating the guards stationed at a vehicle checkpoint, Kamarov and the group disguised themselves as the guards and waited for Viktor to pass by so they could capture him. The team attack Viktor's convoy when he arrives, but he escapes until he is cornered on the top of a building. Though Soap was close to apprehending him, Viktor committed suicide before they could, refusing to betray his father by being captured. Imran grieved for his son, and threatened to launch Russian nuclear missiles if U.S. and British forces didn't leave the region.
Price and his team managed to destroy the nukes Zakhaev launched overseas, and were fleeing the missile facility. The team was forced to fight against Zakhaev's forces on a bridge, and Price contacted Baseplate to rescue them, but he denied to help. Kamarov contacted Price and came en route to save them, and arrived to see that Zakhaev was killed by Soap. Gaz and Griggs were killed as Price and Soap were wounded, and Kamarov took them to a hospital to recover.

~ Kamarov to Price. |
During World War III, Kamarov traveled to the Czech Republic and joined the Czech Resistance, becoming their leader. When Russia invaded, Kamarov and the resistance retaliated, and fought against the Russian Army and Inner Circle, using all manner of Russian weapons that Kamarov managed to supply the Czech Resistance, including AK-47s, AK-74us, RPG-7s, and Molotov Cocktails. During the rebellion, Kamarov was contacted by Price, who had become a member of Task Force 141, and disavowed for killing the traitorous General Shepherd. Kamarov helped Price, Soap and Yuri sneak into the city, and later fight their way to a church to hide.
The plan was for Soap and Yuri to provide over watch while Price infiltrated the Hotel Lustig where Makarov was supposedly going to be, and Kamarov was tasked with giving the go ahead on the operation. However, Kamarov was captured by Makarov and his men, and was trapped with C4 as Vladimir knew of Price's assassination attempt on him. When Price infiltrated the hotel, the elevator opened with Kamarov, who told John that he was sorry. Makarov then came onto Price's radio to reveal that he learned of their plan, telling him that hell awaits him in Russian, and detonated the C4. Kamarov was killed in the explosions, but Price managed to escape with Soap and Yuri with the aid of the resistance, but sadly Soap also died from blood loss when his wound from Shepherd had reopened.
Kamarov's death was avenged by Captain Price and Yuri, who managed to end World War III with the aid of Delta Force by rescuing the Russian president, and later killing Makarov in Dubai.
