Biography[]
It is believed Kastor grew up in a similar environment to his father Arkantos, as battles were commonplace around him during his childhood. His mother was killed by the pirates at a young age, leaving him to grow up with only his father. He wanted to fight alongside his father for much of his young life, but Arkantos refused to allow it, in the interest of his safety, and because of his nativity.
Because of Arkantos's commitment to protecting Atlantis, he didn't get to spend as much time with Kastor as he would've liked. It is possible that Arkantos didn't want to fight in the Trojan War because of wanting to spend time with Kastor. He is present during the pirate attack on Atlantis, which turned out to be a diversion to steal the trident on Poseidon's statue. Kastor is the first to notice, and is ordered to stay after Arkantos agrees to go to Troy. He has limited appearances in Fall of the Trident, but appears in Arkantos's dream half way through, as well as at the end during the evacuation of Atlantis.
Ten years later, Kastor has a much more important role in Atlantis. He had become an Atlantean general who led his soldiers to a tundra in the Norselands, constantly struggling to rebuild Atlantis. Arkantos had become a god, and he had limited interaction with his fellow Atlanteans due to a bigger responsibility in stopping the Titans. Unknown to Kastor, a servant of Kronos killed his leader Krios and assumed his appearance, and informs him of a sky passage to escape the tundra.
After fighting their way through savages to reach the sky passage, they end up at a Mediterranean island and restore ancient temples nearby to the gods Oranos and Kronos. Two Greek scouts who inhabit the island notice this, and bring soldiers to battle with them. Kastor is confused by this, not knowing he is being deceived by a servant of Kronos, and wants to talk things out with the Greeks. He pursues the remaining Greeks to their main base in Sikyos, and before he is able to talk things out, he is forced to kill General Melagius. However, their Egyptian and Norse allies arrive with armies that Kastor is unable to take on, and he suggests a strategy.
Instead of fighting head-to-head, he sails to the Norselands, and sends other troops to Egypt. In the Norselands, they destroy temples to Odin, replacing with temples to Kronos, and deconstructs Odin's main temple. In Egypt, Kastor has his men steal four ancient relics. As planned, the Egyptian and Norse armies are forced to retreat, finally leaving his men in peace to rebuild Atlantis. The servant of Kronos informs him of a sky passage, that would lead behind Greek bases. Kastor finds himself in Mount Olympus, unable to go back, and fights to the peak, destroying temples Olympian gods along the way.
Back in Sikyos, Kastor finds that the city has been destroyed by the Titan Prometheus. The servant of Kronos expresses great pleasure in Kastor's actions, that it has lead to the Titans gaining more power to release the greater Titans from Tartarus. The remaining soldiers from his army have also been tricked, and turn against him. Fortunately, Amanra and Ajax are able to rescue him, and Arkantos arrives to set Kastor on the right track: he must kill the lesser Titans. They head to Egypt first, and battle the Titan Cerberus with assistance of the Guardian. In the Norselands, they meet up with Folstag, who also assists them in defeating Ymir. They head back to Greece and Prometheus is continuing to wreak havoc, but are assisted by the powers of the benevolent Titan Gaia who is able to help the heroes defeat Prometheus.
With the threat of the servant of Kronos still ever present, Kastor deduces that he has headed to the Atlantean colony, and discovers a trap set up. They are forced to save the Atlantean citizens from an automaton ambush, and are successful in doing so. The servant heads to the remains of the Old Atlantis where the Tartarus gate is found. While it initially seemed hopeless in preventing the servant from succeeding in releasing Kronos, Kastor recognised that they could summon Gaia by planting her trees across the island. Kronos is successfully released, and the heroes desperately protect the trees until Gaia arrived. When she does, she succeeds in sending him back to Tartarus. Kastor ties up a loose end by finishing off the servant for good, and is thrilled at his victory. Arkantos reminds him that Atlantis still needs to be rebuilt, and has Kastor promoted as the new Atlantean leader. He does not hesitate to order his soldiers to get to work and start rebuilding.
