Katas (カタッツ, Katattsu) was an inhabitant of Planet Namek during it best era and the father of the Nameless Namekian that would later split into Kami and King Piccolo. He is briefly mentioned in Dragon Ball Z.

Biography

Katas was a Mamekian that birth in an era when the planet has more diversity of their inhabitants and better technology that in the modern era. As a member of the Dragon Clan, he had magic powers to create Dragon Balls like the ones created by Guru, Kami, Moori, Dende or Esca, but is unknown if he created ones. Katas was known by Guru, since he told about him to Krillin and Gohan in his old age. In Age 242, Katas birthed a son with the Namekian egg engenderment quirk. During a dangerous climate shift that threatened the lifes of the Namekians, Katas used a Namekian spaceship to save his son and sucessfully sent him to Earth, then Katas perished along the other namekians except Guru.
