As Kate drags Kevin upstairs, she is told by the officer not to worry about him or her house.
"There are fifteen people in this house and you're the only one who has to make trouble."

Kate stunned when Kevin wishes to never see her or anyone in their family ever again.

The next morning, Kate wakes up and checks her watch to see what time it is.
(both) "WE SLEPT IN!"
"Where are the passports and tickets?"
Kate hearing Peter say he put the passports and tickets in the microwave to dry them off.
Kate, Frank, and Leslie rushing out to join their children in getting into the airport vans.
Before getting into the van, Kate is told by a cable guy that the power to the neighborhood is fixed but still needs to fix the phone lines.

Having been by the flight attendant that her phone lines are still out of order, Kate is comforted by Leslie who suggests they call Chicago when they arrive in Paris.
Kate and Peter depressed that they accidentally left Kevin behind after miscounting their children.
"What kind of a mother am I?"
Kate, Peter, and Leslie staring blankly at Frank when he fruitlessly tries to lighten the situation by revealing he'd forgot his reading glasses.
After arriving in Paris, France, Kate and her family run through the airport.

Finding her husband, Kate informs him of the police going to check on Kevin.
Upon hearing there are no available flights to Chicago, Kate asks the receptionist if they do private planes to which she says no.
"Peter, Kevin is home all by himself. I'm not leaving here unless it's on an airport."
Kate and Peter hearing the receptionist offer to have Kate stay at the airport where a flight to Chicago could open up, to which they both agree to.

"Look, I've been awake for almost 60 hours! I'm tired and I'm dirty! I've been from Chicago to Paris to Dallas to...Where the hell am I?"
(Ticket agent: "Scranton.") "I'm trying to get home to my eight-year old son!"

"I am going to get home to my son."
Kate surprised when a man interrupts her talk with the agent.
