Katya is a character of The Owl House. She is a young witch that was incarcerated in the Conformatorium for writing fanfiction about food falling in love.
Personality[]
Katya is a good young woman who loves to write fan fiction about how products fall in love with each other. Because of this, she was imprisoned in a Conformatorium and does not agree with how it sentences people who do not fit into society. She does not consider the prisoners who got there to deserve recognition as criminals, and believes that they did nothing wrong by being there. When she saw Luz trying to open her cell, she advised her to leave the Conformatorium while she still could and enjoy her freedom. When Katya was given a chance to escape from the Conformatorium, she chose to stay there, knowing that the warden would not catch her and her cellmates. Katya's attitude changed as soon as Luz gave her and the other prisoners an inspiring speech, telling them that no one should be punished for who they are and accept that they are cranks. Katya and the others staged a riot outside and together with Luz attacked the warden. After the riot, she escaped from the Conformatorium and joined the BATTs.
Appearance[]
Body
Katya is a humanoid witch with pointed ears, dark skin and black hair gathered in a ponytail. She has upturned brown eyes with three eyelashes on each eye, as well as noticeable fangs.
Clothes
Katya was originally dressed in an indigo dress that exposed her shoulders and covered about half of her forearms. She had a gold headband around her neck and black calf-high heeled boots.
Joining the Bards Against the Throne, she wears their uniform consisting of black boots, red pants and a black vest with gold buttons and a burgundy collar, as well as a black choker necklace. Her hair is also decorated with a red elastic band instead of the previous blue one.
Biography[]
Katya is jailed for writing a fan fiction about food in love with each other, along with Tiny Nose and Eye-Eating Prisoner. Luz feels sorry for them because she refers to their status as an outcast, but cannot free them. Then Katya advises the man to leave and enjoy his freedom instead of them. Later, when Luz manages to open the prison bars, the cellmates do not dare to leave, believing that escape is pointless and that the warden will put them back in jail anyway and it's only a matter of time. However, Luz's inspiring speech prompts three cellmates to attack the warden, and their joint efforts forced him to flee.
After a while, Katya joins the Bards Against the Throne and participates in raids against Emperor's Coven. Eda joins the group and helps them sabotage the Emperor's Coven. However, they receive news of the raid, which turns out to be a trap. She, Derwin, and Amber are caught by Darius and Eberwolf, and all three are sent to the Conformatorium, much to her anger. It is later revealed that she escaped from the Conformatorium as part of Darius's ruse and joined the Covens Against the Throne.
Shortly before the Day of Unity, Katya and the rest of the CATs team up with Eda, Darius, Eberwolf, Lilith, Steve, Hooty, King and Luz in an attempt to stop the withering spell. After they decide to brand Ida with the sign of the Bard Coven so that she can take Raine's place as the main bard, Katya takes Luz to a meeting with Willow, Gus and Hunter to save Blight's children. Katya meets up with the CATs again in Titan's head, but their plan to stop the debilitating spell fails as they are discovered and held captive.
